Over 40 Thai and foreign media agencies and media units under the Public Relations Department (PRD) recently participated in a press briefing and study tour program titled “Low-Carbon Tourism: Thailand’s Trend Toward Environmental Sustainability.”

The event, held from April 19-21 at Koh Mak island in Trat and Chanthaburi provinces, aimed to promote Thailand’s policy on low-carbon tourism.

During the event, the media delegation was briefed on Thailand’s sustainable tourism policy and the development and upgrading of Koh Mak as a low-carbon destination. A panel discussion was held by representatives from various organizations, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration, the Tourism Council of Trat and the Koh Mak Subdistrict Administrative Organization.

The story is posted in the Southern Thailand News Forum which is advertised as:

"Including Chumpon, Surat Thani, Songkla, Hat Yai, Pattani, Narathiwat.
Explore the unique topography, language and culture of Thailand's deep south."
