anonymouse Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Walking up moonmuang soi 9 yesterday at the top end I noticed a sign with a large cartoon pair of breasts and hooters chiang mai written on it - the sign on the shophouse says that it is opening soon. It might be interesting, I can see myself having a couple of swift ones before picking the boy up from school if it's anything like it's American namesake, anyone got any more info?
heybruce Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm sure it will be as genuine as my 600 baht Rolex.
Gonzo the Face Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Trying to cover all markets, I am soon opening a little place for unfortunate young ladies who have had a radical mastectomy...... they need to be wanted too ... Named "ITS A HOOT" Then again for those of such inclination..... [you know the boys places] there could be TOOTERS... disgusting sign though
BlackArtemis Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Thank God, I know they have one in BKK, I have yet to find decent wings anywhere here. I am not saying hooters are the best, nor will the Thai version be even close to the American, but I can hope that they will satify a craving. But really... Thai hooters, should rethink the name like "Raisins"
Ulysses G. Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Doesn't seem like the right neighborhood for it. Some sort of variation on a Rasta Bar might be a hit there.
Jared Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I visited a Hooters in Singapore on my last visa run, never been to one in America so I couldnt compare it but there was some very attractive women working there.
MrSquigle Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) The girl I know, if she works there, she well deserves the position and far by far from tweeters. Where is the one in Bkk ?? Edited July 6, 2007 by MrSquigle
richard10365 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Wow....Hooters!!! Isn't there an upper body anatomical feature of at least a certian size to be required to be employed at a Hooters? From what I have seen, it might be quite difficult to "fill" these positions here in Thailand. I would hate to "bust" their bubble but this job might be one where foreign women might be able to get a work permit for. Either way, I look forward to their arrival. I hope it will be "big" event!
Donnyboy Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Wake me up when they open a branch of Beavers. you better wake up lamphun as there is a Beavers down Loy Khroi just before Guiter Man on the other side of the soi
Ulysses G. Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 THIRSTY Beavers is a massage parlor in the daytime and a bar at night. I'm sad to say that their premiere massage lady has recently departed for better pickings somewhere else.

lannarebirth Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Well, be careful. Katoeys tend to have the biggest boobs in Thailand.
heybruce Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) Uh, guys, does anyone really think there will be an authentic, franchised Hooters on Soi 9 off Moon Muang? I have doubts about one in Bangkok; it isn't listed in the Hooters website (www.hooters.com). If anything this will be a knock-off, and I won't be getting my hopes up for the Buffalo wings, or other things Hooters is known for. Edited July 6, 2007 by heybruce

chuchok Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Hooters bars are great, but they don't allow touching....

britmaveric Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Skimpy outfit - Hooters would be a welcome addition!!!
JimsKnight Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Yeah, roll on the hooters! Gonna need some silicon sisters to do it justice though, the Thai chicks will struggle to compete with the overseas establishments
lamphun Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Skimpy outfit - Hooters would be a welcome addition!!! I hope that's irony maveric. Of course there are no bars in CM that have girls in skimpy outfits.
Johpa Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Uh, guys, does anyone really think there will be an authentic, franchised Hooters on Soi 9 off Moon Muang? I would imagine that it would be as authentic as the Hard Rock Cafes found in the Kingdom.
JoshMyPickle Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Actually, if you search around enough on the Hooters website, a press release states that the corporation was supposed to have opened 3 branches in Thailand back in 2005... reckon they must have been operating on local time.
mcgriffith Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 (.)(.) Shouldn't it be more like this: (*)(*) Just wondering...... McG
Donnyboy Posted July 8, 2007 Posted July 8, 2007 Yeah, roll on the hooters! Gonna need some silicon sisters to do it justice though, the Thai chicks will struggle to compete with the overseas establishments perhaps "molehills" might be a better name besides I like perky n natural!!
