The media's 'Biden Protection Program' is back

Although I have no political experience, I’m quite certain I could manage to answer any question I had time to rehearse my prepared response.  And how nice to have the reporters name, affiliation and picture beforehand.

In a proper transparent democracy such fraud and corruption would never happen. Not wildly false at all, and there is a reason that "advisors and specialists" in the media field are used extensively to "train" prominent figures in politics and industry, and the reason I know is because I have undertaken that training when working for a huge American company, when facing reporters.

 

I also was a friend of a Prime Minister at a later time, and she said that her "advisors" knew which journalists were going to be problematic, and often asked for their questions beforehand.

 

One more snippet of information for you.........during this media training you are trained never to fully answer the question put to you, but your main aim is to put across what you and your organisation have done, highlighting the positives, with perhaps a slight reference to the question at the very end of your answer. 

 

So always get your positives across/what you want to say, is the mantra.

PS. I will add a rider to my post, inasmuch as I do believe that Joe Biden is too old to run again for President, and unfortunately it's a medical fact that as we get older, and especially into his age, we are forgetful of names, places and events and easily get confused – – this is not Alzheimer's per se, but a natural part of growing old.

 

The question should be, not that he should/should not have assistance with his presentations and journalists questions, but is he too old for the job because that's what nature does to us?

 

Why the Dems have not lined up somebody else for this position, is IMO, beyond belief.

If Biden is too old any reasonable person would have to conclude that Trump is as well. Mental acuity has much to do with a person's physical condition over 80. Biden is in way better shape than Trump regardless pof their age difference. His diet is way better as well which has an enormous effect on mental acuity.

I agree with that, inasmuch as age and diet may well have affected trump, however poor education and just being plain dumb also come into play in his case.

 

What he does have going for him (not that I like him one iota) is the hustlers "mind" in being able to "talk to" the mindless masses which seem to follow him.

Unfortunately for them, the Democrats DO have somebody else lined up. The problem is, that person is the VP Kamala Harris.  Given the political situation it would be well nigh impossible to deny her the nomination if Biden were to step aside.  And the closer the election gets, the harder it will be. 

 

And everyone knows that, in a general election, Harris would lose to a potted plant. Or a potted Trump, let alone a GOP candidate without Trump's baggage.

Media prep is one thing, collusion is another. Of course politicians get briefed on which reporters to avoid and which ones are 'tame'. Also to always pivot from the question asked to safer ground and a familiar talking point.   But the level of scripting and co-operation needed for a circus like the one in the OP is another level altogether.

 

Here is what a staff member would have to do, all before the press event:

 

1. Find the friendly reporter.

2. Get him/her to agree to ask a specific question.

3. Go to your office.

4. Write AND print out all the details- reporter name, pronunciation, affiliation, question, response needed, AND the order to pick the questions.

5. Deliver said paper to the politician in time for him/her to get familiar with it.  

 

This goes way beyond prep into the territory of journalistic malpractice. Any who agree should be ashamed.

He made a deal with James Clyburn, a powerful Congressman from South Carolina, during the 2016 primaries. Biden was going nowhere, but Clyburn offered his support (he is a revered figure in the black community).  In return, Biden pledged to choose a black woman as his VP. Not sure why Harris got the nod- she was a nothing in the primaries, but her relative youth and energy were a good contrast to Biden.

My deepest apologies, but there are so many mind-blowing conspiracy theories coming from the MAGA base that it makes me deeply suspicious of even seemingly innocent questions.

I care because the strength of the USA is critical to the free world. Right now America is being badly led by Biden and is in decline. Most Americans can see that now.
