Popular Post onthedarkside Posted May 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 3, 2023 Former President Donald Trump’s second criminal indictment looks all but certain to go down this summer. You could even mark it in your calendar: Sometime between July 11 and Sept. 1. That’s because Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has formally asked local officials to beef up security during that window, when she plans to announce charging decisions in her long-running investigation of Trump’s attempt to reverse his 2020 election defeat in Georgia. She wouldn’t need all that extra security if she weren’t planning to go after Trump himself, former prosecutors and legal experts say. https://www.vice.com/en/article/5d9gyq/trumps-next-criminal-charge-is-practically-on-the-calendar 2 1

bendejo Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 It sounds like he has never been a criminal defendant before. His denouncements and insults, which he knows will result in death threats etc could result in obstruction charges, which could mean even more criminal cases. It looks like the Georgia and Smith cases will not start until next year. Bear in mind the case Smith was working on before this one regarded events that took place in the 1990s. 1 1

Popular Post Chomper Higgot Posted May 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 3, 2023 (edited) Several months is a long ‘heads up and be ready guys’. I wonder if she’s trolling the multiple targets of the investigations, setting a few nerves on edge that might need soothing with a cooperation deal. Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock….. Oh and I don’t mind waiting, just do it right, by the book and water tight. Edited May 3, 2023 by Chomper Higgot 1 4 1

Yes, I read that. But why several months notice? It seems more like a strategic move on part of the investigation than a urgent public order issue. 1

Popular Post bamnutsak Posted May 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 4, 2023 I'm guessing Trump's staff has created an Advent-style calendar for the ex president so he can keep track of his legal developments in an engaging fashion. 5

The Special Grand Jury has done their job and now she must present the evidence to a regular grand jury. And in Georgia, all is done weirdly and the regular grand jury meets only every 2 months. The next one is near the end of June/early July. Also it gives her time to add more witnesses and evidence. And Willis has to wait as she filed a motion to throw the lawyer out that represents all 10 state Republicans that are about to be indicted too for conspiracy. This because one of them has turned on the others and will rat on the whole thing........plus it gives more of the scum time to turn also in the next 2 months before indictment. So let's give it time.......Willis is still playing her cards......Poor Jackass has none left 5555555555 What's that Hillary??...." LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP!!!!! " ???? bendejo Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 I think Miz Willis is conscious of the impact this case on the media and historical precedent, and US history itself. Perhaps she needs the time to build a fortress for her family before the MAGA hordes are set lose. Funny how this bill has come into existence at this time: https://www.ajc.com/politics/kemp-to-sign-bill-granting-state-new-power-to-remove-prosecutors/SXHNOACS7JDXXIY4WQYKQD2RAU/ If Kemp pulls the rug out on this case be sure it's going to SCOTUS. Make of that what you will. 1
