Made a mistake
Never drink and drive but had a few beers and was stopped. Breathalyzed, made to sign the slips and then sent to talk to the boss all roadside. used translate to explain that I would have to go to the station and court and there was a fine. I pleaded to pay fine and I was very sorry. The boss asked for 10k I said if less was possible he said 7. He pointed to the atm and I got the money. They sent me to another boss who took me to some plastic chairs side of road a bit away. He told me with translate that he wanted me to go to court and all that but I pleaded. They had asked me my name and had my licenses. He asked me my name and wrote it down and my phone number. He then said ok and told me to leave the money on the ground. He left it there and told me to go to my car and that they would give me my license. Another cop gave me the license adn walked me to the car then helped. E on my way in my car. i made a bad mistake and I paid a fine but what worries me is that they have my name, phone number and asked me my job etc - I am worried this will come back to bite me or they will try to go ahead and prosecute me etc? is this likely to happen or is this horrible ordeal that I got myself in finished. Never again. -

Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" Passes The House.
Will add an additional 2 TRILLION to the debt. Hilarious how republicans only care about debt when they're not in power. -

Economy The Thai Baht Paradox: Currency Climbs as Economy Falters
It is only a "paradox" if you do not understand that the performance of the almighty dollar affects the exchange rate of all other currencies. Once you understand it, it will all make sense. Dollar weak, Baht goes up. Very logical. -

Greenland signs juicy deal with Europe in a blow to Trump
knowing how people love to put down trump and his admin I fail to see how this is sticking it to him. Like any other gvt they just had to submit a proposal, which they didn't. Probably cos they didnt feel like it was worth it to them... hardly time to take out the party hat The United States did not submit a proposal for Greenland's anorthosite mining license due to a combination of factors: Lack of Formal Investment Proposals: Despite expressed interest, the U.S. did not present concrete investment proposals. Greenland's Minister of Mineral Resources, Naaja Nathanielsen, noted that while U.S. business delegates visited, no formal dialogue or direct investments materialized. In contrast, European partners, including the EU and Denmark, progressed more smoothly in their collaborations. Reuters+3@EconomicTimes+3spotmedia.ro+3 Regulatory and Legal Challenges: Greenland's mining legislation does not align with the traditional American approach of land acquisition and resource exploitation. The land belongs to the state, and exploitation licenses are temporary and require significant investment to maintain. This legal framework may have deterred U.S. investors accustomed to different systems. spotmedia.ro Perceived Political Instability: Former President Donald Trump's proposition to purchase Greenland introduced concerns about political stability, potentially making the region less attractive to investors. Greenland's mining minister warned that such rhetoric could harm its appeal to international investors. Financial Times+1Financial Times+1 Infrastructure and Operational Challenges: Greenland's harsh climate, high operational costs, and lack of infrastructure pose significant challenges to mining operations. These factors may have contributed to the U.S.'s hesitation to invest. IEEE Spectrum+1Financial Times+1 In summary, while the U.S. showed interest in Greenland's resources, the absence of formal proposals, coupled with legal, political, and infrastructural challenges, led to the lack of American involvement in the anorthosite mining project.- 1
