The IMF consistently underestimates UK growth. They're a laughing stock where it comes to UK predictions. 3 whole % out in 2021. I posted the real figures above. So tell me, where is the cliff edge that Project Fear hyped up? Didn't happen, did it...

Well , Germany is the lowest and we know why. UK is the second lowest and we also know why.

 

As to the FT article, it is based on outdated data. According to the latest data available, the current level of UK GDP is below pre-pandemic level.

I also posted the 'real' projected figures which show that the UK is predicted to grow more slowly than the Eurozone and the wider EU this year.

 

Falling off a cliff edge? Maybe not - although the 10% overnight decline in sterling when the referendum result was announced was quite a descent - more like, a steady slide down a steep hill.
