UPDATE: One Suspect in Gruesome Murder of Pattaya Woman Claims Innocence
By Tanakorn Panyadee

Pattaya — Pattaya Police are intensely interrogating an unidentified man believed to be involved in the gruesome murder of a Pattaya woman.

The younger brother of the victim, Mr. Amnat Thammarak, 28, visited the Pattaya Police Station yesterday, May 20th, to give his statements about the grisly death of his sister, Ms. Rattana Thamrak, 32, who was believed to be stabbed to death inside her rented residence on Soi Chaloemphrakiat 19 in the Banglamung district of Chonburi province on Saturday, May 20th.

Mr. Amnat revealed that he and his mother were in deep sorrow over the loss of Ms. Rattana. Before she passed, she often called to seek solace from their mother when she felt down. Her death might be related to her personal relationships, drugs, or that she might know some secret of the culprit, Mr. Amnat said.

Lead Investigator at the Pattaya Police Station Pol. Lt. Col. Ittikorn Saikratok briefly disclosed to The Pattaya News that the police had summoned a male suspect, whose name is withheld pending the legal process, for questioning. While the motive for the murder mainly revolved around a dispute related to a love affair, police have not dismissed other possible factors, Lt. Col. Ittikorn said.

Was this even a strong suspicion?

Soi Chaloemphrakiat 19

Off Soi Buakhao at the corner the fresh market.

Often drove or walked there.

Shocking to read this.

Quote

Ms. Rattana normally had many men who contacted and visited her at her room, according to Mrs. Big. She was a former staffer at a bar in Soi Bua Khao but she was currently unemployed.

Freelancing carries higher risks.

Hope they find the scum.

Story in a Thai source is absolutely shaking.

Maid heard yelling and shouting from the room, saw a man rushing out.

Saw blood stains on the corridor.

"Must have been cat's blood".

So the deceased lay in the room for two more days.

Mother previously had urged the victim to return home to Buriram after being jobless.

She refused.

Full face clear picture, full name and home address of the victim included:wacko:

The Pattaya police have three suspects who they are tracking down to interrogate.

1.  could be the murderer

2.  could be the murderer

3.  could be the murderer

Is it #1 , 2 or 3  .......   more to come on this I suspect.

About ten knife wounds were found on her body, you mean they are not sure, it could be 8 or 9 , or even eleven.

It's possible that they don't want to release this information as the exact number is something that only the murderer could now. This can be used to validate a confession or trip up a suspect in questioning.
