Daily News reported the capture of 'Kik,' the alleged killer responsible for the murder of a stunning woman in a rented room in Central Pattaya, was made possible through a cross-provincial police operation that detected a mobile signal, ultimately leading to the suspect's arrest near Sakon Nakhon Province.

The victim, Miss Rattana Thammarak, also known as Rat, was a 32-year-old attractive woman who suffered stab wounds to her face, neck, behind the ear, and shoulder, resulting in severe injuries that claimed her life approximately 4-5 days prior.

The tragic incident occurred on May 20th in a third-floor rented room of an apartment located in Soi Bua Khao, Moo 9, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

Following extensive investigations, the perpetrator was identified, and a court warrant was obtained for the arrest of Mr. Wacharapol Ansongkaram, alias Kik Kilo 10 (Km.10 Sattahip), a 39-year-old man charged with causing fatal bodily harm (case number 230/2566, issued on May 21st, 2023). This information has already been reported by various news outlets.

The most recent breakthrough occurred on the evening of May 23rd when Pol. Lt. Gen. Suwannaphan Chiaonavinthavatch, the Commander of the Kalasin Provincial Police, received coordination from the investigative team in Chonburi Province.

They revealed that Mr. Wacharapol, or Kik, was detected within the vicinity of Kalasin Province through his mobile phone signal earlier that day.

It is believed that the suspect was attempting to flee to Kalasin Province or nearby areas. In response, Pol. Lt. Gen. Suwannaphan Chiaonavinthavatch promptly ordered the Kalasin Provincial Police's investigative team, in collaboration with the Region 4 Investigation Team, to track down and apprehend the suspect at his residence- a wooden house with a zinc roof- located in Kud Bak Subdistrict, Kud Bak District, Sakon Nakhon Province.

During the arrest operation, Mr. Wacharapol displayed a visibly anxious and tense expression. The police issued the arrest warrant, and the suspect confirmed his identity as the person named in the warrant.

However, no information regarding the motive or any further details have been disclosed at this time. Meanwhile, Pol. Col. Thanaphan Natthanon, Deputy Commander of the Pattaya City Police Station, is en route to Kud Bak Police Station to receive the suspect, Mr. Wacharapol, and facilitate his return for further investigation in Pattaya City, Chonburi Province.

As for the ongoing interrogation and evidence-gathering plan, the media will provide updates as the situation progresses.

Kut Bak, Sakon Nakhon-The prime suspect who was wanted in the vicious murder of a young Pattaya woman was arrested in a rural village near the Kalasin province in Sakon Nakhon in northeastern Thailand and is being transported to Pattaya for investigation.

The murder of 32-year-old Rattana Thammarak, who was found brutally stabbed almost a dozen times at an apartment complex in Central Pattaya around the Soi Buakhao area last week, shocked Pattaya residents and law enforcement alike.

She had been stabbed in her face, neck, shoulder, and upper body at least ten times and left deceased in her apartment for several days until a cleaner and the landlord of the apartment complex noticed an unusual smell and gained access to the apartment, finding the disturbing scene.

Pattaya police identified several men who had visited the victim on the day of the murder but their main attention was directed to Mr. Watcharaphon Ansongkram or Kik, nicknamed “Kik Kilo 10”, 39-years-old, who had been the last person seen alive on CCTV and with the victim.

They found him at home. Great detective work.

Tracked him from phone signal..

I'm thinking he didn't watch any of those numerous crime TV series. Everyone who does knows that the first thing you do is turn your phone off or destroy it,

Looking at that picture I'm guessing that one officer is barely 4 feet tall.

So it was not a punter as I suspected.

In Thai news there are many details about the decent of the girl from a regular job to drug addicted bargirl with a violent "boyfriend".
