Social Media
President Joe Biden will address the nation from the Oval Office on Friday evening – his first time speaking to the country directly from that setting – following congressional passage of a compromise measure that raises the federal borrowing limit and avoids a catastrophic default. The decision to speak in the most formal of presidential settings comes after weeks of fraught negotiations over the borrowing limit. The deal ultimately struck between Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy raises the debt ceiling for two years, freezes domestic spending, imposes some new work requirements on food stamps and alters certain energy permitting rules. 1
Popular Post BonnieandClyde
This is just the sort of event that is needed to regain some of the gravitas he lost doing that pratfall at the Air Force Academy. Just keep him seated behind his desk in the Oval Office with his busts of César Chávez and Rosa Parks placed close behind him for support in case he does try to stand on his own feet. When will this farce come to an end? 2 1 4 3 3

When will this farce come to an end? Biden and the Democrats got almost everything they wanted in the budget negotiations, despite not holding a majority in Congress, Republican blackmail threats to force a debt default came to nothing. Biden tripped, he fell, he got up, dusted himself down and got back on with the job. McCarthy on the other hand, wandered around aimlessly making a lot of noise, and couldn’t hold his own Party Majority in-line, what a mess the GOP have become. Given that by all accounts Biden was intimately and continuouly involved in the negotiations, your attempt to resuscitate that canard might find traction among fellow extremists, but those of us living in the fact based world know otherwise.

The current occupant of the White House is perhaps the least available of any in the past half century. he has only had 12 events this year after 600pm, and most were dinners or fundraisers. If you check his official schedule he is on a plane for Delaware nearly every weekend. Now project 3 or 4 years into the future. Will we see a 1 pm to 3pm schedule, 4 days a week? Being president is a full time job and needs more attention than it is getting. 1

He said he wouldn't have time for golf because he'd be working. So, on his own admission you can't work and play golf as we all know. He was the Golfer in Chief. And then when he was supposed to be working he was grifting.
ozimoron
In fact, Biden is working this weekend. He is signingnthe debt ceiling bill today because the far right held it up until the last moment to make a dramatic political non point.

Trump isn't "my candidate"- there are 3 or 4 people ahead of him that I would prefer as President. Besides, many articles, including the one below, document that Biden is actually the winner in the "away from Washington" sweepstakes, even surprassing the Bad Orange Man. https://www.johnlocke.org/biden-vying-for-title-of-president-spending-most-time-on-vacation/ 1

Maybe get over the victimhood and start defending your man. He is the main opposition candidate for Biden by far and so remains a legitimate discussion point. I don't know if he's working as little as you are claiming, but in case there is some element of truth in your claim, It's not the only standard. It also depends on how efficient his working time is. Biden is experienced in all possible subjects, he doesn't need to be explained things during long hours, he is rational, he knows how to select his staff and how to delegate tasks to them. Fact is that Biden is getting things done. 5

You know, it would be nice to hear a reply that, for once, doesnt need to refer to the previous President. Is that possible? Doesn't seem like it to me. I guess that makes Trump the "gold standard" for Presidential behavior then... 1
