BANGKOK: -- In a shocking incident that took place on June 9th, 2023, at around 9:00 PM, the police in Khan Na Yao Sub-district received a report of a car accident involving a collapsed section of Ramintra Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, they found a car severely damaged in a large trench. The incident prompted immediate inspection and assistance from the local rescue organizations.

The incident occurred on the eastbound lane of Ramintra Road, in front of the Toyota showroom, heading towards Min Buri. Upon examining the second lane, authorities discovered a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, with license plate 9กก 97xx Bangkok, wedged into a trench that was approximately 2 meters wide and over 1 meter deep.

The car's front wheels were submerged in the collapsing section of the road, leading to significant traffic congestion. Thankfully, the driver did not sustain any injuries. However, due to the incident, traffic had to be diverted urgently.

During the initial investigation, the driver revealed that while driving along the road, they suddenly noticed a massive pothole, which they couldn't avoid in time, causing the car to plunge into the trench.

In response, authorities quickly coordinated efforts to remove the vehicle from the sinkhole and collaborated with relevant agencies to repair the road and compensate for the damages incurred.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of regular infrastructure maintenance to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians. Local authorities are now focusing on addressing the road conditions and implementing measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

The Pajero driver is asking for compensation for loss of his iPhone which was damaged when it slipped out of his hand and broke when his car fell into the craiter.

Why was he holding his phone whilst driving?

It matters?

Yes.  Mistruths matters.  We wouldn't want another lying Fox News on our hands, would we?

What you referred to weren't mistruths or lies, they were inconsequential journalistic errors but there are much worse things that we could have on our hands here, CNN, MSNBC come to mind very quickly.
