Popular Post Lacessit Posted June 11, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 11, 2023 It is interesting Bill Barr, Trump's former Attorney-General, has said Trump is toast if even half the charges are proven. That is telling, given Barr was formerly a staunch ally who helped weaponise the DOJ at Trump's behest. Trump's dog-whistles to his cretinous base are mainly aimed at wringing out more donations, as no lawyer will work for him without upfront payment. 3 1 1

In an interview with Roger Stone yesterday Trump called Bill Barr a gutless pig....lol After attacking his former attorney general on Truth Social for his assessment that he is “toast” following his federal indictment, Donald Trump lashed out at Bill Barr three times during a sprawling interview on Roger Stone’s first radio show. Having called him a “gutless pig” online and told his followers to switch off Fox News anytime Mr Barr is a guest, the former president kept the attacks going during his chat with Mr Stone on WABC. IIRC, Roger Stone is a convicted felon who was pardoned by Trump. It would appear Trump is running out of visual media outlets who are willing to facilitate his lies, and he's reduced to a conservative radio station. 1 1 1

If he uses his own media platform to incite protests and riots he will have added one more nail in his coffin. The man's ability to whip people up into a frenzy is his calling card. A person like that is dangerous. Reminds me of someone prior to WW2 If he has his way the US will be a smoking ruinous place unless the rule of law and order stops in and defends the country against his antics. He is an antagonistic angry self serving gentleman. 1

Popular Post Credo Posted June 12, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2023 Most psychologists will tell you that the best indicator of future violence is past violence. Trump has shown us that he is very much capable of unleashing unprovoked violence. He, and he alone, discredited the 2020 election. He started the Big Lie and he has perpetuated it. He instigated the Jan. 6 insurrection. I am not sure how this will all shake down. Whether he is nominated, wins the presidency or not, he will continue to spew the hate. Both his ego and his finances are bolstered by the hate and division. Violence is just a part of his playbook. 1 1 1 1
Tug Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 The best part of this is the idiots are on record about calling out for violence the next time they try to say they are the party of law and order call them out! 1

Did you skip over the most serious charges which had nothing to do with NARA. These charges go well beyond NARA. Taking records in contravention of NARA would be a misdemeanour. Refusing to give them back, not so much. The indictment lays out 37 federal charges against Trump, including obstruction and unlawful retention of defense information for storing dozens of classified documents at his Florida resort and refusing to return them to the FBI and the National Archives. https://www.npr.org/2023/06/09/1181340894/trump-indictment-classified-documents-charges 4

Popular Post ThailandRyan Posted June 12, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2023 Impeachment is a political procedure carried out in both the House and Senate. An Indictment, such as what Trump is now under is a Criminal Procedure. https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/29/politics/fact-check-trump-presidential-records-act-talk/index.html Facts First: Trump’s claims are false. The Presidential Records Act says that, the moment a president leaves office, NARA gets custody and control of all presidential records from his administration. Nothing in the act says there should be prolonged “talk” or a negotiated “agreement” between a former president and NARA over a former president’s return of presidential documents – much less that there should have been a months-long battle after NARA first contacted Trump’s team in 2021 to try to get some of the records that had not been handed over at the end of his presidency. Going back on Topic as far as his rants stirring up the people we have this https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/19/opinions/trump-call-for-protests-obeidallah/index.html It isn’t the first time Trump has called for protests if he is charged with a crime. The former president began priming his base back in January 2022 when he told supporters to take to the streets if any prosecutor, anywhere, charges him — not just the Manhattan district attorney. At a campaign-style rally in Texas, Trump said: “If these radical, vicious, racist prosecutors do anything wrong or illegal, I hope we are going to have in this country the biggest protests we have ever had in Washington, DC, in New York, in Atlanta and elsewhere.” 2 2

The Trumpians are trying to push the line that the president gets to decide what are presidential records and what are not. I can't imagine that national defense briefings provided by the pentagon aren't presidential records, even if Trump doesn't want them to be. Trump doesn't get to break the law for his own benefit, even as president. Nixon found that out. 3 2

onthedarkside Posted June 12, 2023 Author Posted June 12, 2023 UPDATE: ‘I Want Blood’: Heavily-Armed Trump Supporters Say They’ll Protest Trump’s Indictment Supporters of former president Donald Trump are planning mass protests at a Miami courthouse on Tuesday, following Trump’s indictment last week. Many are promising to come “well-armed.” “MAGA will make Waco look like a tea party,” a user with the screen name 1776take2 wrote about the planned protest on the pro-Trump messaging board known as The Donald, which was instrumental to the planning of the Capitol riot. In addition to the angry comments and plans posted anonymously on far-right message boards, Republican lawmakers, politicians, and right-wing pundits have also used incendiary language about Trump’s indictment. “We have now reached a war phase. Eye for an eye,” GOP Rep. Andy Biggs tweeted to his 730,000 Twitter followers. READ MORE https://www.vice.com/en/article/5d995k/trump-indictment-armed-protests-miami 1

Captain Monday Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 I wonder what kind of plea deal the govt would offer him? And other indictments are still pending.

Give him $10 and tell him he has to leave the country and can't talk about it, lest he fall off a balcony. Nixon's VP was a rascal, corruption and influence peddling, got caught, agreed to resign in exchange all charges dropped, and lived quietly ever after. For more info look up Spiro Agnew. 1 2
