Nazi demonstrators brandish Ron DeSantis 2024 signs outside of Disney World

It would be just as easy to pay some wing-nuts to march around with Nazi flags emblazoned with "Biden For President."  This is electioneering of the most sordid kind.  But it is America and like it or not, Nazi flags are protected expression under the First Amendment (unlike say, Germany).  But utilizing them to smear a political rival is pretty low regardless to whether the tactic is being used by the Left or the Right.

Yeah, but I think DeSantis is smart enough to rebuff their support if asked. Trump would say -- some of them are good people.

Nope. Never happened.

DeSantis also recently signed a law banning distributing hateful flyers and material on private property, and also projecting images onto property like the one shown above.

Some fascist....

When the two frontrunners for the Republican presidential primary have total support from Nazis and white supremacists, one does have to wonder what the GOP stands for anymore.

Mission accomplished.
The point of this exercise was to pair Nazism and White Supremacy with a GOP candidate so that the public will embrace the view that you just expounded.  See - it worked.

Weird reply. I said he's smart enough to rebuff Nazi support, and that's your reply?!?

He is a fascist. You don't need to be a Nazi to be a fascist.

There are some truly disturbed people in this world. It looks like fascism is still alive and the belief in superior races clouds peoples minds. Truly reprehensible.

A perfect description of a certain major religion.

There are still remnants of the old GOP but it is now totally dominated by the Maga fascists. There is nothing to wonder about. The GOP has become a pro fascist party. Will it ever backtrack from that and how long will it take? Impossible to say. I don't think that party deserves to even survive. It should go the way of the Know Nothing Party.

You realize there are people of every ethnicity in the GOP? They are definitely not fascist.

But it's overwhelmingly a white nationalist party now.

Plus straight Christian.

Both Trump and DeSantis have said they would pardon the proud boys and oath keepers if they were elected, as have most other GOP candidates. About 90% of Republican voters support one of those candidates. There's no way they can claim to be not racist.

Compared to the number of female Democrats in Congress, women are also under represented.

So therefore the GOP are a mainly, straight white male Christian Nationalist party.

If some how Trump wins and the Democrats lose the Senate and nothing changes in SCOTUS anything would then be possible even the rise a tyrannical Fourth Reich.

Have we not learned anything from history and the founders.

'In the words of James Madison: “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.”

US politicians competing for the nazi vote.  Does not sound good.

It's never good to cajole nazis but I think they are mistaken if they think they represent the "silent majority". They know that but they have no other base.

So you think Nazis are not idiots?  Interesting.   And all 7 of them are coalescing around the Republicans. Yep, that is gonna sway the election for sure.

The left cannot process the fact that just because someone endorses you, doesn't mean you in any way endorse them back. That's what's going on here.

"there's good people on both sides" is about as clear an endorsement as you can get.

Since last year there's still been nothing from DeSantis

Why Won’t Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Denounce His Neo-Nazi Supporters?

Florida politicians and local Jewish leaders are demanding Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis condemn a group of neo-Nazis who congregated outside a Tampa convention center over the weekend, passing out anti-Semitic propaganda and displaying swastikas alongside flags that read “DeSantis Country.”

“We may disagree on policies, but if we as leaders don’t denounce neo-Nazis and white supremacists in our state, in our country, what are we doing here?” said Florida Agriculture Commissioner and gubernatorial candidate Nikki Fried, who is Jewish, during a press conference, “I am asking you, Ron DeSantis, to denounce the Nazis that were here, here to celebrate you speech inside this convention center, they were holding your pictures yesterday.”

In addition to DeSantis, other high-profile Student Action Summit attendees — including former President Donald Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) — have also stayed silent on the matter.

They are cowards, unwilling to declare their hand either way. When things get sticky for them they turn into ostriches.

Dont forget the second part of the quote, the part that says, "and I'm not talking about the neo nazis and white supremacists, they should be condemned totally".

It seems like a lot of people want to forget it though, for some reason...

Indicted former President Donald Trump’s legal team is planning to ask District Judge Aileen Cannon to dismiss key evidence that ties him to obstruction of the FBI’s investigation into classified documents stored at Mar-a-Lago, a report said Sunday.

The basis of the dismissal, his lawyers say, is that notes kept by Trump’s attorney Evan Corcoran - bombshell evidence in which Trump discusses lying to investigators about the document's existence and even suggests destroying them – are covered by attorney-client privilege and should not have been turned over.
