webfact
As the Move Forward Party prepares to fulfill its pledge to legalize same-sex marriage, Thitaporn Khamchai, a company worker who has been living with her girlfriend for four years, is eagerly anticipating the opportunities it will bring. “The promised marriage-equality law has given me hope that I will be able to plan my future with my other half and hand her the legal right to make decisions on my health and assets if I am not in a position to do so myself,” said the 31-year-old as she shared her feelings with Thai PBS World. Aware since her teenage years that she has no interest in men, Thitaporn admits she now blushes to imagine that her live-in girlfriend might eventually propose to her once same-sex marriage becomes legal. What is Move Forward’s plan? Move Forward leader Pita Limcharoenrat has vowed that his coalition government will pass the Marriage Equality Bill within its first 100 days. All eight coalition partners have signed a memorandum of understanding to support the bill. Popular Post JingerBen
The people who need "marriage equality" most of all are foreign men who marry Thai nationals, settle down here and raise children. We have been getting a dirty deal for too long now. 1 1 7

Life time guests and nothing more. 1 2
rwill
For a new law to become enacted does it have to pass through both the house and senate? If so I don't see how they can say they will get passed in whatever days if the senate goes against it.

Wow, as long as four years? I've been legally married in Thailand for 37 years and I'm still waiting for equality. 1
