Thai election concerns rise due to prolonged ballot box transport in Buri Ram

Concerns have been raised over the prolonged transportation time of ballot boxes in Buri Ram, following the recent general Thai election. A group of ten complainants from Non Suwan and Nong Ki districts filed a request with the Election Commission’s Buri Ram office, questioning why it took four and a half hours to transport the ballot boxes across a 20-kilometre distance.

A SAUDI ARABIAN man was arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport this evening (June 15) after 99 wild animals and 90 aquatic animals were found in his suitcases just as he was trying to catch a flight back to his home country, TV Channel 7 said.

On Wednesday, the Secretary-general of the Election Commission announced that 321 Constituency MPs would be confirmed on June 21st while the election of a further 79 provisionally declared MPs was being examined following complaints and due to a lack of confirmation for inspectors. The result of the May 14th General Election faces intractable uncertainty focused on the Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat (inset), who is the subject of claims that he held shares in a media firm, something prohibited under the 2018 Election law.

A Thai man stumbled upon the dead body of a Russian man in a pool of a house in the Saiyuan Med Village in the Rawai sub-district, Mueang district of Phuket. The Russian man reportedly died while he was engaged in meditation beneath the water’s surface.

Motorcyclist killed in Chon Buri crash as lorry driver flees scene

A 28 year old motorcyclist died after crashing into the back of a lorry in Chon Buri, but the lorry driver vanished from the scene. Police are searching for the driver by reviewing CCTV footage and are calling for cautious driving, particularly on bypass roads where vehicles often speed.
