Prior to covid in our case the Chinese came only in the low season,

Maybe not for you, for others they were year round. But that's not the point, the point is that it's normal that in low season occupancy is considerably lower than in high season.

Look at the pricing and all questions are answered. For a hop from one to the next beach you pay anything between 600 - 1'000 Baht to the cabbie. 400 Baht take you from downtown Bangkok to the airport and there are taxi operators getting you from Bangkok to Pattaya (130kms) for 1'200 Baht.

And that is only taxi, the same applies to many restaurant, bars and some hotels. Your call ????

Message for TAT It is low season, wake up, quit being greedy.

Thailand always has low season this time of year.  I just hope the air fares drop a bit for high season in October to April.

Where I stay, the guest house rates are still pretty good.

Funny how they make visas so hard to get and So, it feels like they want you out of their country and then are talking about tourism is low. You can't have your cake and eat it.

Nearly all tourists arrive visa exempt or obtain a visa on arrival.
