anotherfarangishere Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Hello, I'm in Thailand with an exemption visa ending on July 30. Last time I extended my stay was in August 2022. What has changed or not since last year? - extension always in Lak Si at IT square? - do I still need a TM30 (right now I'm using an Airbnb ending on July 26)? - do I still need to go two times to immigration? - ... Thank you very much! 1 3
Popular Post Caldera Posted July 20, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 20, 2023 You will need a TM30 notification with a Bangkok address to apply for a 30-day extension of your visa exempt entry at IT Square Laksi. You'll get the extension right away, there's no need for a 2nd visit - that was only required for Covid extensions taken "under consideration" first. 3

Thank you so much for these precisions: I really appreciate your help. I'm going to contact my Airbnb hosts right now. 1

If they seem to be reluctant to have any contact with Thai officialdom (because they are offering short term accommodation in violation of hotel licensing regulations) explain to them that this is purely for immigration purposes, and involves no risk to them. (It probably doesn't.) 1 1
DrJack54 Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 You can make appointment at LakSi. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131 Currently next booking slots July 24. You will also require a TM30.

anotherfarangishere Posted July 20, 2023 Author Posted July 20, 2023 I got the TM30: it was a little bit complicated because it was only the second time the host was doing it but at the end I got the same thing as my last one in 2022 (except no more TM6). So, I'll go to Lak Si next week with: - TM30 - photocopies passport - immigration form Did I forget something? Could they ask for a flight ticket? Thank you!

You'll also need a picture, 4×6 cm. There's a shop to the left of immigration in case you don't have a suitable one already.

For the flight, they didn't ask before but sometimes, "new rules"... Ok, glad to know they still don't ask for a flight ticket. Thank you very much for your help. Last - stupid - question: always 1900 bahts ? (as even taxis fares have moved after a century...)
