Illegal Alcohol Promotion Detected in Roi Et Establishments

On the evening of July 31st, officials from the Disease Control Department Region 7 in Khon Kaen collaborated with Roi Et's police to inspect alcohol sales in service establishments.

 

Led by officers Kittisak Jamrasprasert, Chalit Srihanu, Veera Hangnak, among others, the operation was conducted in collaboration with local Roi Et authorities and Dr. Saman Footrakul, Director of the Disease Control Office Region 7, Khon Kaen, reported Siam Rath.

 

They audited establishments in line with the Alcohol Control Act of 2008 and the Tobacco Product Control Act of 2017, specifically within the North Mueang area and Roi Et Municipality.

 

Initial findings revealed seven instances of unlawful alcohol advertising and promotions. Dr. Saman Footrakul and Disease Control Region 7 officials are consolidating evidence to press charges against those involved.
