House Democrats call for live broadcasts of court proceedings in Trump criminal cases

WASHINGTON — More than three dozen House Democrats are calling on the policymaking body for federal courts to permit live broadcasting of court proceedings in the Justice Department's cases charging former President Donald Trump with federal crimes.

In a letter led by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who served on the House select committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, Democrats asked that the Judicial Conference "explicitly authorize the broadcasting of court proceedings in the cases of United States of America v. Donald J. Trump."

 

"It is imperative the Conference ensures timely access to accurate and reliable information surrounding these cases and all of their proceedings, given the extraordinary national importance to our democratic institutions and the need for transparency," the lawmakers wrote in the letter, sent Thursday to Judge Roslynn R. Mauskopf, the secretary of the Judicial Conference.

The letter, whose signatories also included other members who served on the former Jan. 6 committee, noted that the Judicial Conference has "historically supported increased transparency and public access to the courts’ activities."

Schiff does have a point here. I think all these show trials should be televised. Schiff himself helped understanding the truth of a previous case when the evidence was non-existent so he just totally made up some mafia sounding garbage to falsely accuse the victim which let everyone who was following the case know it was complete BS. If that event had not been televised nobody would have believed it. Very helpful indeed.

 SO yes, let's televise Trump's persecution and then we can also televise all the biden corruption and treason trials.

The burden of proof is on the government ! Such a high profile case with so many twists involving the Constitution  !

The bias(previous ruled against Trump)judge can determine the scope of evidence presented pretrial!

Because a judge ruled against Trump's attorneys, that makes her biased? Given Trump's attorneys' spectacular level of failure in his various legal ventures, by your criterion most judges would qualify as being biased against Trump.

Evidence is not persecution.

Facts are not persecution.

Videos and claims made by Trump are not persecution.

Speaking the truth is not persecution.

Honesty is not persecution.

They were being kind.  Devon Archer's testimony did not fuel more questions about President Biden's "involvement" with his son's business dealings, it showed that the Republicans had once again failed to come up with evidence.
