Marriage Visa - Extension of Stay - Overstayed the 30 day consideration stamp

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got a call from immigration that my extension of stay was approved on July 25th. My under consideration stamp expired on July 27th.

I forgot to go to immigration then and won't be able to appear until August 7th.

Am I on overstay? Should I expect to pay 500 thb * 10 days or so? Or expect to go to jail?

Thanks

No, you are not on overstay, but I would urge you to go Monday first thing to immigration

edit: your extension is already approved for the year, so don’t worry, you just don’t have the stamp to prove it yet in your passport, you will get that in Immigration. But prepared to get asked some questions why you left it this long

This thread contains some guesswork however also has couple of posts from uj.

Also here. Problem is most of the threads post about couple of days late. Not 10 days.

My “under consideration” stamp result was once 2 weeks late, but that was due to immigration being very busy and no issues then.

Yes immigration can be late passed the report back date.

For the passport owner No. Imagine if farang just start returning one week or more past the due back date.

My guess is he will be ok but immigration certainly won't be saying ..."no problem mate we here at immigration happy to help. Have a lovely day"
