SETV to Visa exempt same day by air

I'm currently on 30 day extension of 60 day tourist visa issued in US and expires next week. I plan on taking a flight to Vietnam on the exit by date and return the same day through Suvarnabhumi. Never had back to back entries into Thailand, but did have a visa exempt entry in September and November last year.

 

Should I have any issues reentering? I want to book a monthly airbnb home base but thinking to wait until after I gain reentry into BKK.

I believe you will be OK. However, you have been here enough that the wrong official just might decide you are abusing visa exemptions. It would be better if you stayed out for at least a few days.

OP, ....some months back there was a report of some guy sent his elderly mother to KL and back same day for visa exempt entry.

Don't recall her history (which is important) anyway immigration gave her much grief on arrival in Thailand.

Spend a couple of nights. 

Assume it's Saigon you have in mind..

Ripper place and airport close to the fun district 1.

Hanoi and Halong Bay are great and so is Ho Chi Minh,

 

Why not broaden your horizons and make your passport look better by staying a few days.

 

It's fun, cheap over there and well worth the visit.

 

Thailand will still be here in four or five days.
