Could be because in the morning you are hassled by the weight of expectations. From yourself and others. To many choices and decisions can make you lazy.

What to do to feel productive as well as have fun.

You noted you like being on a train. At night, or on a train, there's nothing much else to do but be and that can feel better. Excitement can come from freedom from expectations.

Something in this too, possibly burnout or stress or similar.

When home, I'm up at 6, get kid ready for school, back at 8:30 and straight to work, finish around 5, 7-9 football training for my son most nights too. Pretty stressful job, possible burnout in my case or just stress. Doctors always say depression and try to give anti depressants all the time without actually listening.

Lack of sleep.

Shouldnt it be the other way around? Excited morning. Tired night.

It is with me ... wink wink ... more energy & testosterone, early, then things slow down toward & after dinner.   Give me my 6 hrs of NREM stage 3 & REM, then UP at sunrise, full power & energized again ????

My quality sleep before 22:00 snd up 05:00 keeps me sane, healthy and happy.

One training pass before coffe and breakfest is part of the schedule.
