I few of those I stay regulary in BKK, do have to Japanese style. Wonderful

they can be tricky...you can try one at the think park hotel bathroom at nimman

too high tech..i like having the power in my hand..like a warm gun but also take note of not too warm as u may need to bleed out the blazing hot water...dont scorch your tender regions!

suppose you could go to the temple and make merit by offering a donation aka $$$$

I am not in favor of donating to any religious organization, It only encourages them to want more.

Lack of mold. Which is hard to find. Older solid place with a good fan and ventilation.  Maybe a new place with polished floors instead of tiles. Tiles usually have mold growing under neath. I'm alleregic.

Just give me a good old bungalow and i will be happy.

I guess location but near what things?

Big size room?

Within budget of course. Whats your budget?

Swimming pool yes or no?

The first time I came here I stayed on top of a go go bar on Soi 8 in Pattaya!  That lasted 3 days  , until i found a much quieter place off 2nd Rd. Near soi 13.

I look for centrally located hotels with quiet rooms! 3- 4 stars , price range

2200 bht or less! Swimming pools and a good wifi are essential!

For Bangkok

Location

High rise with option to pay more to get high floor

Pool long enough for a weak swimmer such as myself to do proper laps

Top sheet instead of doona suitable for a Chicago winter

Fridge that’s not a minibar crammed with stuff I’ll never buy

Ideally, a kitchenette

Aircon that can be controlled

Sizeable room safe

Under 5,000 baht per night, but I’d pay more for something that checks all the above boxes

Sad but true, I do avoid hotels that have Chinese and Indian Bus package tourists!

Anyway, I couple of hotels I have stayed, we got Vip passes to avoid those groups at the breakfest, which can be quite challenging sometimes when crowded.

It is as bad as ending up in the middle of youropeen package turists in Spain

Fantastic, and not only UK tourists, it is all of them.

a. Shower drains that drain quickly and properly without needing to do any water wading while showering...

b. AC that does not make a racket...

c. Walls that are thick enough so I do not hear next-door neighbors doing it...

d. Ceilings one foot thick of reinforced concrete so I don't hear elephants walking above me, and sometimes doing it...

e. Warm White Panasonic light bulbs in every socket so that I can feel comfortable while reading a good book...

f. Great room service with FIVE STAR Thai food

g. Pretty girls who come in at odd hours without knocking...

h. Chocolate (expensive), mint flavored, on pillow...

i. Complimentary EVERYTHING...

j. And, much more...

I'm a bit of a hotel snob.

I know its ridiculous, you're only sleeping there, but we like a little pampering.

We just got back back from a trip to Las Vegas, and we always stay in The Venetian.

When we're in Bangkok we always stay at the Intercontinental.

We hardly ever use all the facilities, but good restaurant's are a must for us
