I would guess that in his Pattaya social circle the rate would be higher than 50% of his friends having wives and girlfriends met in Ladies of the Night type establishments.

There could be an argument for the boys.

But to bring up a daughter in Pattaya could possibly be the worst place in the world. Especially in the farang ghettos/community. Half the school mums would be ex hookers.

Is it really common for tourists to marry bargirls?  How do they fit it in if they're only here on holiday?  It's difficult enough for expats who live here, to marry in Thailand and even more so to get their girl a visa to marry in their home country.
