Outraged at an erotic show in an open air brothel with around 20k prostitutes, a town full of pimps, criminals and sex tourists, amusing if nothing else.????

"Pussy "pay" ping-pong. Pussy sa-moke cigalette"

Yes! In 1979 that was a free "teaser show" in the first room to get people in.

In the 2nd room it got wilder...

Took a peek at door and left. Not my cup of tee mainly because of very young, beautiful Thais being used by the pimps.

Is it "A wave of concern" or is it "outrage". I would say it's neither and probably a click bait headline. It's Pattaya and while I have never been there I would expect nothing less if I went and didn't find such a venue in a place like this.

If you want outrage go to a Western pride event where you will find all sorts of deviance done by adults in front of children or the fact the US is largest human trafficking country in the world facilitated by its own government.

I thought this is a venue to talk about Thailand, and in particular to this article: a specific event in Pattaya. There are plenty of other forums to share your views about other countries.

Moderators, can we please keep things about Thailand?

Well, the whole world knows that Ping Pong shows is the National sports or Thailabd and sex shows have always been part of Thailand. Everyone knows this is the low standards of Thailand, especially Sin City of Pattaya.

Next the health warning of blowing cigarette smoke out your who who and the  miss use of ping pong balls out ranging the thai ping pong ball federation .

“Deviance done”? I didn’t know one could “do deviance”. As for the US being the “largest human trafficking country in the world”, well, prove it with facts instead of resorting to baseless assertions. I have the feeling we are dealing here with a sexually repressed or otherwise closeted individual.

Personal attacks to someone you don't know doesn't cut it sorry. If you're that blind after the many documented evidence available including children's camps on the border where they are separated from their parents then ignorance isn't an excuse for pure evil. If you're defending peodos in your elites in the US than you may want to look in the mirror before calling someone sexually repressed. The covering up of the murder of Epstein may give you a clue. Case closed

If i remember correctly back in the 80', they used to have a full sex shows in some bars in BKk (or was it in Angeles city) where a young local man and a women would engage in a full, real sex act, not a mock up, lasted for some time before it was taken down, so again, nothing new under the sun.

You remember correctly. Went on into at least the early nineties I recall. The shows were actually quite boring..

Turn off CNN and all other US propaganda channels

Could you provide us with a list of “propaganda channels “ to avoid and perhaps another list of channels we can watch to see the unvarnished “truth”?

I actually like and respect this attitude Thai's have on this.  Keep it on the sly. Everyone knows it exists but the right thing to do is keep it on the sly. Don't do it in the open. Thats crass and stupid

So now we all know that NEW SEASON 88 is located on the Pattaya Third Road in North Pattaya, but this is a genuine news item folks, not advertising pretending to be news.

Was it P.T. Barnum who said "There's no such thing as bad publicity...."?

I'm in Mahasarakham so I can't go. Maybe someone will send me pictures.  ????

I think you missed the several times that the author mocked the 'concern' of the people who were disappointed that the pristine image of Thailand was being sullied. She quite cleverly took the pi** out of them without quite saying they need to get a life. A well-written article, although I do question, as a journalist, the legitimacy of combining a news item with sarcastic comments. There is news reporting, and there are commentary pieces, and they are not usually combined.

It's difficult sometimes to know if it's someone taking the pi** or they are being serious and don't realise the humour

If this story makes the British tabloids will only encourage more sex tourists to come to Pattaya ????

The Sin city of the world ????

Maybe it's a marketing exercise by TAT. Look out for a story in the next few days predicting 10 million tourists from Europe and the US. Oh and Australians as well. I'm sure they're up for it. Pun intended

It's a funny old place here isn't it.

Gambling is illegal but if you walk down the street or sit in a restaurant you're overwhelmed by people selling lottery tickets.

Prostitution is illegal  but it's  a major part of the economy in some parts.

In May there was a festival near us where there was a pickup with a huge phallic object on it and another with a model of a woman showing her lady garden. A few years back there was a model of a woman on all fours with a man behind her with his equipment out. It was on wheels and as it was pulled along it did what you'd expect. I've seen pictures of other festivals with people, including a policewoman walking around with pictures, I assume printed from the internet, showing a BJ.

I'd never seen a Pornhub tee shirt before I came here, where it's frowned upon.

In the video clip, the woman was wearing a bikini and a man was wearing underwear while doing erotic behaviors.

So is 'twerking' illegal in Thailand?
