The car dumped on North Pattaya Road
I noticed that car as well on my trip back in December 2023. I too thought it was dumped until I saw it being driven along Soi Paniad Chang during my last trip in December 2024. Or maybe it was just a joyrider taking it for a spin. -

Crime Grandson with Amputated Limbs Stabs Grandfather in Loei
Picture courtesy of SiamNews. A man with two amputated limbs confessed to brutally stabbing his elderly grandfather to death in a fit of rage during a mealtime dispute at their family home in Loei province. Police were alerted to the fatal incident at approximately 11:00, on 4 July, at a two-storey half-concrete, half-wooden house in Na O subdistrict, Mueang Loei district. Officers from Mueang Loei Police Station, forensic investigators, hospital staff and local rescue volunteers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the body of Mr. Sanan 86, slumped face-down over a bowl of rice at the kitchen dining table. He had sustained seven stab wounds to the neck and back. A 10-inch pointed kitchen knife was found on the table near the body. The suspect, identified as Mr. Weerasak Sripimpa 35, the victim’s grandson, was found seated nearby, calmly waiting to surrender to police. Notably, Weerasak has had his left arm and right leg amputated due to a previous electrical contact incident. During questioning, Weerasak told police that he had long endured his grandfather’s persistent nagging and repeated references to the past, which had worn down his patience. On the morning of the incident, after preparing grilled fish for his grandfather’s meal, another round of complaints pushed him over the edge. Unable to contain his anger, Weerasak said he retrieved a knife from the kitchen and approached his grandfather from behind before stabbing him repeatedly. After realising the gravity of his actions, he reportedly paced back and forth, then called the police to confess. Following a preliminary examination by medical officials, Mr. Sanan’s body was transferred to Loei Hospital for an autopsy. Meanwhile, Mr. Weerasak was taken into custody for further questioning and has been charged with the murder. The investigation is ongoing. Adapted by Asean Now from SiamNews 2025-07-05 -
