Thaksin Shinawatra’s daughter Paetongtarn Shinawatra said she is ready to lead the Pheu Thai Party if that is what it wants. 37 year old Petongtarn was speaking at the 16th anniversary of the party. 

Ms Paetongtarn added that her father Thaksin was recovering from surgery he underwent last week. 
she was looking into the possibility of applying to suspend Thaksin’s remaining jail term for him to receive medical care at home.
