you end up sleeping in separate beds, she threatens you with divorce.

You posted you already sleep in separate beds!

Best to hire a hooker and get a room for the night, next morning you'll be sober.

"Sorry darling, I was too drunk to drive home last night"

Not yet mate.

i may do if I relapse again though.

but I think I can do it on my own

Take it easy on yourself mate. You've got this.

Find a good friend to talk to at one of those support groups or organizations before it's too late.

Don't be ashamed of getting started. You'll meet others going through the same journey.

Stay strong and don't give up! Life can be more meaningful than this.

Because I have received some rather threatening messages before and I felt a bit unsafe. Not that I have to explain myself to anyone. Do I?

Do you realize that you can forward those messages to admin/mods and the person who sent it to you will be banned?

I would love nothing more than to go to my favorite cafe, order some light breakfast and sit there till the sun goes down drinking my favorite lager.

but thats how it starts,

you promise yourself just a couple of beers.

then you meet some tourists here on a stag do/birthday whatever and they end up buying you shots.

then you order a whiskey

next thing you know you are asking the nearest taxi driver about girls at the soapy, how much etc..

then the wife calls asking if everything is all right,

she can hear you slurring your words, she knows that you are drunk.

you scope out the nearest kebab shop, 2 beef to go please.

you try and flag down a cab, nobody will go on the meter. you pay the tourist price.

then you get home and start a fight because you are drunk again.

you ask her whats wrong with her. she says she hates it when you're drunk.

you repeatedly tell her that you are not, but she can see it in your eyes.

you end up sleeping in separate beds, she threatens you with divorce.

then you wake up the morning after with a headful of regret, tired, hungover, no good to anyone... you wonder what this bruise is on your leg. your mouth is dry, need water but there is none in the fridge. time to drive to 7, still drunk from the night before. Helmet definitely not a priority.

you waste the day in bed watching netflix, eating crap. mcdonalds gets a call, as they always do.

you answer the door in your underwear, too embarrassed to look the delivery guy in the eye, you take your meal, tip him 20 baht.

you cant bear to look at yourself in the mirror, you havent shaved for days.

you stand on the scales, 2 kg up since yesterday.

you throw up, the mcdonalds hasnt gone down well.

you take a cold shower but even that isnt enough to wake you from your pathetic slumber.

back to bed you go, a full day wasted now.

you sit on the edge of your bed and you ask yourself, was it really worth it?

A tale of sudsy woe dear bob ... Beware the ol' tale: 'A fella takes a drink, then the drink takes the fella'
