A father of ten is suspected of murdering 4 or 5 of his own children. 

A 12-year-old girl escaped her Bangkok apartment room and sought help from neighbors, alleging abuse by her father. The girl suffered injuries, and her 4-year-old sister was later discovered partly submerged in water with burn injuries. Their 2-year-old sibling's whereabouts remained unknown. Both parents were arrested, and later the father confessed to killing the 2-year-old,  the mother tried to  conceal the crime. Police later retrieved the 2 year old girl's body from under concrete at a house in Kamphaeng Phet.

 

An MP from the coalition United Thai Nation Party has urged the government to press ahead with the southern land bridge megaproject to help bring economic prosperity to the region. 

The project was being pursued by the previous government, the party believes this project will address many of the problems for southern people and facilitate moving freight between the gulf at Prachuap Khiri Khan to the Andaman Sea via Ranong and Chumphon provinces. 

 

Prime minister Srettha is at the UN in New York where he chaired the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue, the group emphasizes the commitment of all parties to drive sustainable development in ASEAN.  

 

The Expressway Authority of Thailand (Exat) will propose four expressway projects worth some eight billion baht to the cabinet by the end of this year, with a  further 10 proposals in the pipeline.

 

The baht fell to a 10-month low beyond 36 to the US dollar yesterday, while the Stock Exchange of Thailand slipped closer to 1,500 points.

Investor concerns grew about expected uncertainty and the likelihood that the government will have to borrow a huge sum of money via bond issuance next year to finance its ambitious programs.
