You know that the rigged election was a pretext to annexe the lands.

Nobody can prove that it was rigged. I've noticed that in some countries it's a must and acceptable, while in other countries it's rigged and thus forbidden.

The Russians didn't even have full control of the new regions it annexed after the sham vote.........lol

With Kalashnikov rifles, Russia drives the staged vote in Ukraine

The purported referendums are illegal under Ukrainian and international law and would not remotely meet basic democratic standards for free and fair elections.

“The referendum is taking place in the occupied city of Kherson under the muzzle of an automatic rifle,” said Galina Luhova, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, who now lives in Ukrainian-controlled territory. “They ring the doorbell of apartments, knock down the doors of those who don’t open them and demand that people come out and put a mark that they agree to join the Russian Federation.”

Galina Luhova is a full time apparatchik from the Ukranian emergency government.

Don't ask yourself why more and more Ukrainian women will be forced to occupy senior military positions...

Why not just set the money on fire? At least it would keep a homeless person warm for a couple of hours.

It is insane to keep throwing money at this conflict when there is no actual exit strategy. If the Europeans are so worried, let THEM foot the bill.

Well for starters the United States of America spends an incredible amount of money on defense right now for less than 6% of that annual budget our government has brought its largest enemy on the planet to its knees exposed its leaders as inept its government as corrupt its leader as a war criminal it’s military as inept all without spilling American blood + doing the morally correct thing and protecting Europe.I’m not nearly as articulate as most posters here but that to me is smart a bargain and the correct moral thing to do.salva ukrain evict the invaders!

The US has to uphold its title for spending.  It is a government run by big children not a business.  If it was a business there would more focus on managing debt, improving performance, managing costs, and increasing share holder value.

A government is not a business. The latter focuses on the profit motive, the former on its civic responsibility. Sure, a government needs to be able to manage a budget, but their respective "mission statements" couldn't be more different.

And without any independent observers or a free press no one can prove it was legitimate, though having a vote under military occupation in an ethnically cleansed area certainly indicates illegitimate.

Tug, your very first assumption was wrong and exposes the inherent problem with the whole debate on the Ukraine war. Russia is NOT "the largest enemy on the planet". China is.   And spending 125 billion dollars to fight an unwinnable conflict is folly.  Do you honestly think that Russia can be evicted from Ukraine without NATO joining in? The numbers just aren't there. You only have to look at the huge fizzle that was this year's "spring offensive" to see that.  The best that Ukraine can hope for is to hang on to what they have left.

Europe can (and should) protect itself.  Let me ask you: do YOU think NATO should join in? Do you think Ukraine can recapture all its lost territory without the aid of soldiers from other nations?

What's that got to do with the facts supplied?

Ahh Russia has a larger mass .standing for sovereignty and freedom isent folly it’s the American way .Russia must be driven from Ukraine and stamped out every time they try to steal land .it’s an incredible bargain from my point of view no American blood standing for what’s right morally protecting Europe expanding NATO (obviously nessary) .in contrast to our defense budget extremely cost effective + the added benefit of employing workers replacing what’s used.a bargain indeed for all the right reasons .as far as nato joining in mr Putin best watch his step one false move and he’s lost  his fleet and air force

Again :

Yulia Gorbunova (HRW) and Kiev Post Newspaper, another apparatchik from the Ukranian emergency gouvernment.

Miroslav Jenča (UN) Slovakian another apparatchik from the UN anti-Russian coalition. No UN resolution has been signed yet.

Russians have a dog in the fight.

Last time I checked, the US border still ended at the western shore of the Atlantic.

Perhaps you don’t understand the US would rather not have to go back into Europe to fight a war against a totalitarian dictatorship again.

Containing Putin within Russian borders is a U.S. strategic objective, and rightly so.

Putin’s shills have been trained to think otherwise

Again you have nothing to back up your claims that these were legal and legitimate votes while ignoring the facts and credible links supplied to refute your propaganda

Imagine being homeless in the US and this flog Trump cuts taxes for the rich and just hands them billions upon billions they have no idea what to do with because they have way too much money already.

So called “trickle down economics” that Republican presidents keep pushing, even though that notion has been debunked years ago. Trump is also much bigger (well, fatter) than Biden, so he wins the prize for biggest waste of space ever.
