Politics Bhumjaithai Party Quits Thai Coalition, Slams PM Paetongtarn Over Cambodia Call
Seriously?? I think you're being a little over dramatic. I never had armed soldiers watching my every move while shopping. I Never even seen any soldiers in the stores. I too have been in Thailand for the last two coups.. Sure there were check points but same as a checkpoint near a boarder. yes, things were stepped up with checks on buses, trains etc but again a simple "papers" check. nobody was being frisked. I didn't find the curfew that much of a problem, but I dont go out drinking every night and typically home by 10pm so no real change for us. Both times I found the military guys to be friendly, nice, guys. I think my biggest issue was the TV being shut down. I recall back in 2004 the people were giving solders flowers. I could be wrong but I dont recall hearing anyone hurt or killed during the coups. -
