Workers at the State Railways of Thailand were engaged in a race to clear the locomotive and three carriages of a special express train that derailed along the northern route Phrae province on Saturday.                    

 

The derailment was a result of damage to the railway track caused by debri from a forest. regular rail services were due to be restored by this morning.

 

Thai police are seeking to improve cooperation with their counterparts in Hong Kong with the aim to combat transnational human trafficking rings.
