Trump gets an Deportation Set-back
My apologies if I didn't bother to look up the actual numbers. I didn't think it much mattered for purposes of the discussion.- 1

What is it about Trump that triggers you and causes you so much angst and unease
Dude - You are over-thinking this wayyyyyyy too much. My first post is 100% self-explanatory and explains what I'm thinking and why. There is no "this is connda's conspiracy to make 'the political personal'." Don't make this into "placehlder's person conspiracy theory about the OP's post." Go back to the beginning of the OP, re-read my post. The questions is straightforward. clear, and succinct. I'll summarized it again: "For those of you who despise this man, what is it about him that collectively drives you all to the edge of normal, rational sanity," what is triggering you all to the extreme. Again - I find that fascinating and therefore wrote the Op. I'd really like to understand. And if you believe I'm MAGA, I'm not. That is in the first post of this OP as well. I'm a old classical liberal, I've voted Democrat most of my life, but like other Democrats I dumped the party due to its woke, progressive radicalism that has nothing to do with the tenets of the Democrat party I grew up in: anti-war, pro-civil rights, a supporter of that ACLU, pro-social-safety-net, pro-capitalism with with regulations and limits in order to rein in predatory capitalism (like we have today). But then the Democrat party went off the rails. I've stated this before. I voted for Jill Stein as my "personal politics" align closer to Stein then any other US presidential candidate on the 2024 ticket. So trust me, I'm in a real political minority in the realm of US politics. Now, if you want to, go make your own OP and ask real Trump supporting MAGA types what drives them. Quite a number of respondents have raised that issue, i.e., "What is it that drives MAGA sycophants?" That's a valid question too, and one that I pointed out way at the beginning of this thread when others brought that question up. And I find that fascinating too. So placeholder, stop the conspiracy theory about what you think my deep dark ulterior motives are. There are none. Go back and read the initial post, read this post - then you have it all. There is nothing else there. Don't fabricate motives out of thin air and attempt to attribute them to me. You just end up looking silly and conspiratorial. -

Trump gets an Deportation Set-back
And you of course were terribly unhappy when the Tories instead of Labour when the election via a first past the post election. I've often criticized the first past the post way that elections are run in the UK. I much prefer ranked voting. -

"No One is Prepared for What’s Happening in CANADA... | Victor Davis Hanson"
Many false claims are made by an individual with no knowledge of Canadian history, political systems or economics. Carney had multiple passports because he was living and working overseas and the passports worked for him. It is not unusual. Approx. 4 million Canadians have dual nationalities. Approx. 1 million of them are US nationals. He is wrong on the lumber claim. The USA does not have the capacity to produce the lumber needed. There are not enough sawmills to cut the lumber and the US timber reserves are in national parks and locations away from markets. Unlike Canada, the USA does not have aggressive replanting of forests once cut down. He is wrong on the oil industry/ the USA is purchasing oil at below market cost , refining and selling it back to Canada. If the chronic whiners in Canada's oil patch were so concerned about oil production they would want an oil refinery and not more pipelines to export oil to the USA. Maybe it is because of the US control of the oil patch. He is also showing his ignorance of the oil that is used. Not all oil grades and types are the same. The US oil refineries are specific to Canadian oil grades, not to southern US oil. He is wrong on the auto manufacturing and assumes that Canada would be content with importing US automobiles. Canada can and should pivot to only Canadian made and non USA imports. They don't need multiple versions of US models. No more electricity, water, inland transits or overflights for the USA too. Canada should put heavy taxes on flights to the USA, and cut a deal with Caribbean nations for holiday goers. Cuba would gladly welcome snowbirds, especially if they became medical tourists. -

Community Gunfire Crosses into Thailand as Lao Military Base Attacked Near Chiang Rai Border
That's BS, if talking about shooting a round straight up, and bullet simply falling back at gravity.
