the only way the dems can possibly win is to put obama as a candidate. it would be an absolute landslide.

 

thoughts ? 

 

i think a surprise is quite possible considering the current situation.

The Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution limits the number of times a person can be elected to the office of President of the United States to two terms, with additional eligibility conditions for presidents who succeed to the unexpired terms of their predecessors. Congress approved the amendment on March 21, 1947, and submitted it to the state legislatures for ratification.

Kamala is not popular and doesn'tseem to have accomplished much. 

 

But the reality is that the dems cannot continue with her as  VP candidiate, never mind offending her or hurting her fellings etc.

Newsom is interested of course but only for the top of the ticket.

Other than Biden, Dems can't put a white guy at the top of the ticket without losing huge swathes of the black vote, which is already at risk because they're snapping to the fact that they're getting the shortest end of the immigration fiasco.  Michelle could be a decoy, get elected, then step down and hand it over to Newsom.

 

Edit:  I'd point out that the benefit to Newsom is that he could serve more than 2 terms.  That would appeal to him...

More nonsense. Black voters are far more concerned with issues than with the race of the candidate. Republicans actually performed slightly worse in the recall election with Larry Elder a black Californian being the leading opponent to Newsom, than they did in the subsequent regularly scheduled election.

That's because Dems aren't allowed to discuss anything but a Biden/Harris run.  Lest they lose their place at the table (and all future campaign funding).
