Hi, ive been staying now with 3 months non-ib (previous company that i worked) 3 exemptions and currently on SETV.

Between exemptions i have always stayed week or two outside before re entering.

and why im staying with these, well lets say that company that i might work later on ;) has not issued proper documents on time.

yes... yes... they should have done that already but its thailand...

In few months i need to get out again and not sure if i have those documents from the company sorted out before that.

so, if i go stay in neighboring country how long should i stay there before re-entering?

i planning to cross from land border and fly back. (land crossings used)

This is just a backup plan ofc i wish to have those documents ready before leaving...

In the worst case, avoid visa exemptions by air. Instead, make an appointment at the embassy in Vientiane, and travel there for a tourist visa. With a visa, you would probably be OK returning by air, but I recommend returning by land via the Friendship Bridge to Nong Khai.

If the company has been stringing you along with promises of a work permit, that is now unlikely to transpire, and you should plan accordingly. If you want to stay in Thailand, avoid risk.

Should be other way round.

Reenter via land

Have you used your 2 visa exempt entries via land per calendar year.

Seems you are between rock and hard place.

Time to leave Thailand for a period..

Edit: notice you have used land border entries.

How long have you been in Thailand.

Do not enter via air without a visa.

in the eyes of immigration officers too long for sure. Yeap, i might need to stay out for a month or so. I never really had issues tough because i have pretty good nationality from the nordic countries but its not some gate way to heaven tough.

So maybe i try to apply 1 more SETV and try to come back from the land border...

Anyways its just a 1000b in vientiane and few papers.
