Was there near the end of Covid, Jan of 22 I believe. Of course the rates now are higher as we took advantage of the "Thai Dua Gun" program and got 40% off the room and a big dining credit courtesy of the government. No cars other than songtaw pickups and a few locals have a truck. The people like it like that and dont want a car ferry and hordes of tourists. Not as mountainous but still hilly as Chang. Beautiful beaches, the best waterfalls I have found here and clear mangrove estuaries to explore. Nightlife not so much. So if you want the peace and quiet of island life here you go. A few photos.

I hear it's very popular with the English.

Like Marin said, good for a couple-ish honeymoon vibe, but for a little life, restaurants etc, Ko Chang is better.

Ko Mak is another good quiet one, a little less upscale than KK, flat as board, but a lush coconut plantation feel. Both KK and KM have a rep for sand flies, but I never saw any. You can drift between them on pretty boats.

Looks like a good place to get my bride du jour detoxed from booze and yaba. We'll see what the cold light of morning brings and go from there.

Me & the mrs went a couple of years back, a lovely island, we keep meaning to go back.

Beautiful island, lovely beaches and crystal clear water to swim. For a chill out it's great. No nightlife so take your own totty and stock up on beer etc in your bungalow Have a great time.
