Free does one no good when you cannot get in the door for "Free." I guess this is why many British citizens leave the country to get quality health care. The rest suffer and many die.

The NHS is free at the point of delivery.

It is paid for out of NI and General Taxation, so by everyone who works and by anyone who pays any tax whatsoever in the UK.

What about my criminal that doesn't work and falls off a ladder, what % does he pay to the NHS.....I am giving you three chances to dodge the question....😂

One of the fallacies that recently helped lead the UK into self harm was the ludicrous idea that ‘The Commonwealth’ and former colonies of the British Empire were waiting eagerly with open arms to welcome the UK with lucrative and favourable trade deals.

The people who swallowed that nonsense are the same people who are now offended over a feeble apology for atrocities committed by the British in those same colonies.

Perhaps a bit of real history stripped of the ‘Boys Own’ jingoism might help these people understand why the UK is not so favored as they have been led to believe.

Transam, I think you are wasting you time and breath with this left wing, socialist poster.

I know what you mean, but he usually does the walk of shame after he has run out of twisting options ...........🤭

I don't dispute that waiting times have increased, my point was regarding the quality of the newspaper!

As I said before, the NHS cannot continue in it's present form, it's not efficient and is unnecessarily overused and overburdened. There has to be a change of funding somewhere down the road but it would be a brave politician/party who would advocate for any such change. Anyhow, we've gone off point from the OP

Here’s a challenge.

Demonstrate the truth of your claim that the NHS is not efficient.

No apology from the Kenians

The American committed plenty of atrocities on innocent people in Vietnam and with the bombs they dropped on Laos and Cambodia. When did a president go to those countries and apologise?

did u read the title of the post .....what does it has to do with American

as I said on a previous post, the "old" guard has an hard time accepting the truce.... trying to dialogue with any of them it's a waste of time as they immediately turn to insult/aggressive behavior

Sure, if we're going down this road, lets ensure the Italians also pay back every country they pillaged and enslaved under the banner of the Roman empire. Perhaps we should also get Mongolia to compensate the families of the 40million who were killed. Should the Russians also apologise for how many they killed (and do kill).

We have a great history, some good and some we're not proud of but I'm fed up with the "Brit-bashing" all the time. Most countries around the world have chequered histories including those in the European and African continents.

You are a bit late to the party, pal; that rather poorly thought out response has already been posted and I answered it previously.

But just for you - can you point to an institution of the Roman Empire which exists today and could realistically offer reparations for the actions of their forefathers?

Did the khans maintain their territory and form a currently existing nation that could atone?

Even the Soviet Union no longer exists but as the carcass is a nest of crooks, good luck in getting anything from the victors who stole those spoils.

for those who want to know some truth about the UK royalty, Diana had some good insights

"Diana: Her True Story" by Andrew Morton

Morton’s book continues “As a friend says: ‘She finds the monarchy claustrophobic and completely outdated with no relevance to today’s life and problems.
