Photoguy21 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Quote Not a chance of opening an account with a visit to the bank. If they do that then the entire banking system is a playground for scammers and money laundering and others.

Online account opening facility is only for Thais with an ID card
chuang Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Easy..if you are in Singapore open a account with DBS, apply for a digital on-line banking...then use it to transfer o account in Thailand... it's called DBS Remit... it's instant..no fees.

If you use western union it's him that collects, not his mum. Why don't you send him enough for the month in one go, sending an amount daily makes no sense if you don't have online banking where it's free. Why don't you tell him to open his own bank account so his mum can't steal it from him?

Last time I sent him 5000 and it was all gone.

I'm guessing that the son is fairly young and cannot travel to a WU to collect a transfer without an adult.

lopburi3 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Do you know anyone inside Thailand that can set up daily 200 baht transfers from their account - with you paying monthly into their account? If not perhaps a law/visa firm would be willing to do on a fee basis.
ExpatO Posted November 14, 2023 Author Posted November 14, 2023 Transferwise reply. I don’t know anyone who can do this.
