snoop1130 Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Thailand’s national football team will officially introduce its new head coach, Masatada Ishii, 66, next week, after parting ways with Alexandre Polking on Wednesday. The Japanese coach is a former manager of Thai Premier League team Buri Ram United and his first match, as the national team’s coach, will be a friendly against Japan’s national football team on January 1, 2024 in Tokyo. Thailand decided to part company with Brazilian-German Polking after a mixed start to the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign. The 3-1 win over Singapore on Tuesday wasn’t enough to save his job, as his team had suffered a 2-1 defeat to China the previous week. mikebell Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Another couple of weeks and Ten Hag would have been available. 2
TorquayFan Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 I was very surprised to see that Polking had been sacked - although Thailand lost to China I thought they played better than I have ever seen them play. That was followed by a good performance v Singapore, it looks like rough justice to me. Well done Mr Polking ! And good luck for the future . . . .
champers Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 They should have gone for Frank Lampard. 1
blazes Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 surely Neil Warnock could get something done with his half-time rants? or Unai Emery with his perfect command of the English janglage? Good ebening.
