Don't know how it started (yet) but six families lost everything yesterday in my town. Feel very sorry for them. Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries. The firefighting appliances look inadequate however the Soi is rather narrow. Mrs tells me the temples will provide food and shelter. People are stuffing money into envelopes as you do. I very much doubt any of the families will have had house insurance. Got me thinking, I haven't either!

Seconded.

Are some of those pics from a drone?

My one big worry with the house so I took out and have had for over 10 years. Unlike in the UK the premium has stayed the same other than when I reduced some individual contents......

Overall cost is relatively small for the piece of mind.

Looks very much like a drone. Possibly taken by Tessaban? Problem with traditional economical Thai houses, all wooden upstairs. Mrs and friends today took things such as blankets, fans plus foodstuffs to the families. Good idea to have house insurance, I don't think I'd cover contents in our case, only the buildings.
