Negative Health Effects of Wearing Masks According to Research, 2021

Is a Mask That Covers the Mouth and Nose Free from Undesirable Side Effects in Everyday Use and Free of Potential Hazards?

By Kai Kisielinski, Paul Giboni, Andreas Presche, Bernd Klosterhalfen, David Graessel, Stefan Funken, Oliver Kempski and Oliver Hirsch.

Here's a summary from the said paper, but feel free to read it in its entirety: https://www.mdpi.com/1660-4601/18/8/4344

This study analyzes 65 scientific papers on the negative health effects of wearing masks. 44 of these papers demonstrate statistically significant negative effects, including, but not limited to the following:

PHYSICAL:

  • Elevated blood carbon dioxide (CO2): This can lead to headaches, respiratory irritation, increased blood pressure, and heart rate.
  • Decreased blood oxygen saturation (SpO2): This can cause fatigue, confusion, and impaired thinking.
  • Increased heart rate
  • Increased respiratory rate
  • Skin temperature rise under the mask
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Dizziness
  • Listlessness
  • Impaired thinking
  • Concentration problems

PSYCHOLOGICAL:

  • Confusion
  • Decreased thinking ability
  • Disorientation
  • Impaired cognitive abilities
  • Decreased psychomotoric abilities

OTHER:

  • Interference with temperature regulation
  • Impaired field of vision
  • Impaired non-verbal and verbal communication

These negative effects are observed with all types of masks, including surgical, N95, and community masks. The study concludes that wearing masks can have long-term health consequences, even if the effects are not immediately noticeable.

Key Points:

  • 44 out of 65 studies found statistically significant negative effects of wearing masks.
  • Negative effects include increased CO2, decreased SpO2, increased heart rate, respiratory rate, and skin temperature, as well as fatigue, confusion, and impaired thinking.
  • Masks can negatively impact cognitive abilities, temperature regulation, vision, and communication.
  • Long-term health consequences of mask-wearing are possible

There will still be some that refute the findings in this study, but umm... well...., y' know!

Nope, done with the masking forever unless the Bubonic plague returns. I'm depending on my body's immune system, I'm not going to be cowering like little man scared of zombies, for the rest of my life

  • you can shove yer mask where the sun don't shine!

We double mask just to be on the safe side. I see no harm in taking the extra precaution. We have had all our boosters, everything is up to date and we will continue to follow the medical experts advice. It takes very little effort even in Thailand to stay safe.

It's a shame then that the virus can also enter your system though your eyes completely bypassing your double masking efforts, which would not actually stop the virus from entering anyway unless they are tightly sealed N95 masks that are changed regularly.  Do you also follow the medical experts advice about a healthy diet and plenty of exercise or is it just the advice that takes very little effort you prefer to follow?

Anyone who went along with it all was a mug.

No Vax here and never wore a mask unless impossible to carry out my business.

Got Covid once at the start on the day of Lockdown 2020 in the UK and one week after Omicron was talked about in South Africa in Thailand.

Most over blown load of rubbish and still it’s silence about the ‘above average death ‘ still being massive in now in 2023.

You are denying Covid (exactly as I described in my post) by saying your immune system and other things you do will protect you.

Now you deny denying! What are you afraid of?

It is a well-known scientific and medical fact that a strong immune system can ward off any type of virus, much less covid. How am I denying covid by defying the official narrative, and discussing my immune system, diet and general health?

I realize that these topics are not permissible in the mainstream media but here? Are you really trying to censor me? Do you work for Big Pharma?

A sentiment quite often expressed during the Covid epidemic, (often accompanied by praise for the drug Ivermectin - now proven to be useless). Many of those propagating this nonsense  - relying on immune system, state of mind etc - did not live to tell the tale because Covid killed them.

All the evidence fortunately suggests the latest strains are less dangerous - but caution should be advised.

Such sillyness.

From Med Park Hospital. Worth reading, for those who insist the body has no inherent ability to fight off a virus, flu, or bacterial infection. Immune system nutrient boosting to fight against Covid-19.

Our immune system plays a vital role in helping us defend against the novel coronavirus during the current COVID-19 pandemic. However, people may experience nutrient deficiencies or become weakened due to adverse environmental factors such as improper diets, chemicals laden foods, increased bodily free radicals, stress, sleep deprivation, etc. Such factors can debilitate our immune system, worsen our health, and adversely affect our well-being.

What happens when our immune system is weak?

A weak immune system cannot effectively defend against viruses, bacteria, and free radicals. Hence, if you experience sickness, fatigue, or tiredness, these may be manifestations of a weakened immune system, which can easily lead to infection susceptibility and severe health issues.

Typically, white blood cells, antibodies, lymph nodes, and internal organs contribute to our body’s immunity. Therefore, an immunocompromised person will have a high risk of infection, pneumonia, and low immunity due to a weak immune system.

There's now top level research in Australia into delayed insidious more serious side effects after catching Covid, suggesting DONT get Covid even once let alone repeats.      Typical old age challenges is the nature of their concerns. Their research involves very high powered MRI.  More news to come.

You appear not to have absorbed or understood the Med Park advice. Those who insisted during the Covid pandemic - often middle aged men - that they were relying on their natural immunity (often paying a terrible price) were simply wrong.

The Med Park advice gives those deluded people no support at all.It rather stresses the dangers of a depressed immune system, a message no rational person could deny.

And both the debates he held were attended by only a few MPs. The rest of the MPs that were elected to represent their constituents stayed away by order of the goverment whips.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour by MPs who we elected to go to parliament and speak and listen on our behalf of the constituents who put them into the job in the first place. The MPs who did not attend were looking out for their own interests so as not to rock any boat that might hinder any future  prospects in the future. Cowards.

Aussie cops are licking their chops at the prospect of being able to bash maskless grannies out for a stroll in the park.  The cops' families must be very proud.

Thank you for boosting my argument, which specifically is about keeping the immune system strong and healthy and avoiding allowing it to get depressed. There are countless medical and scientific factors involved in maintaining a healthy immune system, many of which are under our direct control. The mainstream media, the CDC, the WHO, the FDA, and especially Big Pharma do not want us to talk about diet, nor obesity, nor lack of exercise, nor any of these external factors that play a tremendous role in keeping the immune system strong, and powerful and allow the body to fight off bacteria, microbes, viruses, flus and many other diseases.

Toxicity in the body is an invitation to all of those culprits. In my opinion, a lack of a booster shot or a mask is very minor in comparison.

No mid to late 40’s engineers are dying from Covid or the effects of contracting Covid on the life threatening condition they already have.

I remember at the height of the propaganda when most people had masked profile pics displayed an idiot in a Thai travel FB group I subscribe to decide to blast me for my push back through the whole thing. He said “ I’ve watched you from afar with your heartless comments making light of this terrible dangerous disease. My Mother has just died of Covid “. This guy had a profile that showed him to be well over 60 and by the shape of him he was luck to be still alive. So his mother who surely would have been late seventies had no rights to be still alive anyway.

Nobody would suggest it is not sensible to keep the immune system in the best possible shape. It is however absurd to argue that Big Pharma conspired to minimise the dangers of obesity and unfitness .That's exactly the kind of conspiracy theory that was prevalent among some during the pandemic, many of whom put their deluded ideas (no vaccinations, no mask, reliance on natural immunity, lots of junk drugs like ivermectin) to the test and are now very physically diminished or dead.

Yes, seen that as well in the AIS shop and also with airport/airline staff, so it is safe to assume that employees with high interaction with the public are either following their employer's advice or just doing the mask thing anyway.

It's well known that a healthy immune system can help fight against microbial disease.

Saying it can fight off all viruses is contrary to known science. Our immune systems often have little immunity against new viruses that just crossed from nature (or lab) because we have never been exposed to them. That's how the adaptive immune system works.

Little kids spend their time learning new diseases or now days getting lots of vaccines.

Weekly counts of new COVID hospitalizations in Thailand over the past eight weeks (shown in the red boxes below) have quadrupled from 100+ to more than 500 for the most recent week, and have steadily risen for six of the past seven weeks:

"On the death certificate" is the key phrase here. What was the average age of the people involved and what other conditions did they have? Saying "Hey, it's just 300+ UK Covid deaths per week" suggests they were directly due to that. Which isn't the case at all.

As someone who primarily been living back in the UK over the past 2 years, aside from a 6 month period in Thailand last year, I can say that no-one gives 2 hoots about C19, public or media, save for the current public enquiry going on which will only benefit the lawyers involved.

Masks are pretty much non-existent. People I hear from are talking more about how the lockdown has left future debt of over £400 billion due to the loss of economic activity, furlough schemes and C19 loans being abused - all of which will be paid back by future generations. Meanwhile, the delays in treatment for serious illnesses or missed diagnoses have probably killed a lot of people too - perhaps you can find a stat for that? The lockdowns also missed up kids' education and had adverse social effects on those without close immediate family networks, amongst other things.

Interestingly, one of the most vocal critics of lockdown policies I know works as an NHS nurse, though it couldn't be voiced in public as they'd be shut down/sacked. At their hospital, significant hospital resources were set aside for C19 and were hardly getting used, overflowing beds never happened. Neil Ferguson and his 500k a week scaremongering using a carp computer model riddled with rubbish code has a lot to answer for.

Meanwhile, lockdown critics - scientific (e.g. Great Barrington signatories) or otherwise - were ruthlessly shut down by the media - they got no air time whatsoever and were treated as quacks.

That is My Opinion.

Absolutely. Masks help prevent you from spreading whatever you may have to other people. That is why staff in operating theatres wear them.

Hand washing, sanitizer and good hygiene practices are what help prevent you from catching it.

My son just spent an uncomfortable 4-days getting through Covid, he's on a short visit for a family get-together down South, whether he got it there or on the flight down isn't known, but it may well be going-the-rounds here again ?

My wife & I first had it end-January 2020, among the first to get it, after it reached Chiang Mai on the daily charter-flights of tourists, direct from the source Wuhan.  It was a week-long nasty winter-cold (we thought).  Best avoided if you can !

I'll definitely be masking-up for my Christmas-flights back to London, en-route to care for my 93-year-old mother, who has every right to live her full-life despite what some anonymous ignorant plonker on AN might say !  They too will reach that age someday, if they're lucky !

Well, don't wear one, Blossom!

Masks only have the potential to work when people actually wear them...

It's kind of a somewhat futile exercise to require kids to wear masks in school (if they really were required to wear them) and then have them go maskless after school and while out socializing and at home where family members may have been outside and around others all day without masks.

So the entire world  should mask up 24/7?
