Prisoner Escapes from Nonthaburi Prison’s Welfare Coffee Shop, Arrested Hours Later

Nonthaburi—On December 11th, 2023, a 44-year-old prisoner escaped while working at a prison welfare coffee shop at the Nonthaburi Provincial Prison.

The prisoner was publicly identified as Mr. Kriangkrai Wimonphim who was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months for drug possession for sales. According to a report by Nonthaburi prison officers, Kriangkrai would be released on March 22nd, 2024.

 

 

Nonthaburi prison officers inspected CCTV footage and discovered that Kriangkrai worked at the prison welfare coffee shop, he reportedly found clothes from a trash bin before taking out the trash and fleeing by tuk-tuk, said the police.
