My tourist visa stamp is for 'until Jan. 1, 2024.'

Featured Replies

Does this mean I can to across a border for a stamp on Jan. 1? Or does it have to be in December?  Thanks.

Your visa will stay valid for permission to be in Thailand untill 23.59 on Monday 01st Jan 2024

Why not just go to your local immigration office, pay 1900 baht and have it extended instead of leaving and then returning from a land border?

Because in some cases it's a 3 day nightmare at Jomtien, it's definitely a 2 day balls up for every extension nowadays. Supposed to have streamlined the system 🤣😂🤣

Yeah, now it's a BS system where you can only extend one business day prior to stamp expiry, and you have to leave your passport and pick it up the next business day. If it's a Friday then you come back on Monday. Stupid as hell.
