Just read that it is now open for use and could knock the journey down to 30 minutes instead of over an hour on the old route.

I would suggest you take the old route as the speed limit is 80 kph. 

You might have garnered more than 1 reply if you had mentioned two or more towns that this new hwy connected lol.

It seems to go from Bang Yai in Nonthaburi through Nakhon Pathom to Kanchinaburi.

Old route much more than one hour, plus roadworks, potholes and many many trucks.

Have seen both ends of the project and even at 80kph it is going to be great.

But I think only 80kph for now, as its still under construction for another 6-8 months, so probably the speed limit will rise once its completed.
