Popular Post BillyBobzTeeth
I had to do a 90-day border hop for my ME Non-O yesterday. and as usual, I went to the Wang Pracahn border in Satun. To my surprise, you now have to register your details on this website - https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main before you stamp in on the Malaysia side. It's pretty straightforward until they ask for details about where you will stay in Malaysia, similar to the Laos visa. I had no intentions of staying there so just put N/A on the form for hotel details. The form can't be completed unless you add a postal code so I added 02000 for Perlis. After submitting you will receive an email that says - Auto-Reply: Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) - Registration Acknowledgement You then show this to Malaysia Immigration with your passport and then they will process your stamp. All the info you need is here - https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main Just wanted to give anyone going to Malaysia a heads-up about the new rules. 2 3 5
MarcelV
What about Europeans who are not from one of the mentioned countries? Are we still allowed to visit Malaysia by just filling out the MDAC?

Are we still allowed to visit Malaysia by just filling out the MDAC? Wonder, if filling in a Thai phone number will lead to confusion. (When travelling to NZ last year, I almost missed my flight, as, truthfully, I had stated for the ETA that my latest passport was issued by my country's consulate in Hong Kong, meaning the system ignored my nationality, but presumed that I was 'Chinese' due to my passport having been issued abroad in a Chinese territory... Same for other online forms that often change back, again and again, the country code, e.g. +66 for Thailand to the one for one's home country...) Popular Post DFPhuket
The digital arrival card can be done up to 3 days in advance (similar to Singapore) and on the first entry if you go to the booth on the far right, they will take your photo/fingerprints and then you can immediately begin to use the automatic gates both to enter and leave Malaysia. The auto gate process take about 5 seconds and saves space in your passport since you don't get a stamp. I've entered Malaysia 3 times using the auto gates in the past couple of months. For each future visit, you must complete a new digital arrival card up to 3 days in advance. Then you get off the plane, go through the automatic gates and you're on your way. It's extremely fast. 1

Sam555
I plan to do a one day visa run via KLIA (I have a multiple NON-O) I am wondering what to put in the address section for the airport. I will only be there for a few hours so I'm assuming just put the airport address? Anyone else had to do a similar trip recently? Any advice regarding the address section would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Foxx
The infographic includes a 2D bar code, but the acknowledgement email doesn't - just plain text. Does that sound right?

BillyBobzTeeth
I visited the Wang Prachan border in Satun today. I went through the same procedures as last time but was informed that the requirement has been lifted for this border crossing. It is now only mandatory to go through these procedures when arriving at an airport. Therefore, everything is now back to the way it was before.
