Best way to renew e-visa (TR60)?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I will be travelling Ao Nang -> Surat Thani -> Koh Tao -> Koh Samui -> Koh Pangan -> Bangkok (spending c. 3-4 days in each place). My 60 day e-visa expiry falls at the time I'm planning to be in Samui.

I'm slightly concerned about doing things "last minute", so I wanted to extend a bit earlier, e.g. when in Surat Thani, which has an immigration office. However, when I go to the official visa extention website (https://thaiextension.vfsevisa.com/) , the only locations I can pick up are (roughly) Chiang Mai, Bangkok (and a few around), Phuket and Samui.

This makes me wonder:

1. Should I just try to swing by Surat Thani's immigration office, without any appointment, and without any online-filled application, and hope for the best?

2. Given the locations available on the website, should I just limit myself to Samui and re-arrange my plans to ensure that I can visit Samui's office earlier?

Thank you for your kind help!

OP, bumping your thread as you did not receive a response.

The above link is from blogger.

"TheTravelDeck.

Very clear. They give detailed advice re 30 day extension Surat Thani.

Note they list TM6 as being required. Ignore that.

Also do not list a TM30 as being required however most likely it is required.
