best bus app for Bangkok?
Via is the best (unfortunately). If you combine it with Google you often get a good idea of reality. BMTA has a call center for buses, very useful. There is no integrated system. Motorcycle gangs are usually at the entrance of every soi, except the smallest. But they are free not to work whenever business is slow. -

LTR Visa is Now available for Long Term Residency
Thanks @Pib. That makes sense to me. Now I still have a problem: I uploaded two minor documents which I signed and scanned. But it seems they also want to have my address in Thailand and visa stamps of my passport. I cannot proceed further, cannot submit the form. Of course I'm not in Thailand, so I have no stamps and no address either. I plan to arrive next month on a visa exemption stamp, stay at a hotel and receive the LTR visa in Bangkok. Does this mean, my application is now stalled until I actually arrive in Thailand? -

AN Member Post Count Obsession
I haven't read the full thread. Before the site update a few years ago, not only the post count was shown. There used to be a "reputation" count shown too which showed the responses such as likes etc. to the poster. I miss that, as it showed who comments get likes or not. I wish AN would re-instate the "reputation". Was easy to identify the time wasters and troll posters. -

Thailand Launches Tourist Police App to Aid Visitors
I have never before had a Police app on my phone. I might have used one...in the Bronx. However, I think there is no point in Thailand. The probability of getting into trouble in Thailand is quite low, compared to The Bronx. Why clutter my phone with an app that I will never need? a. I am a law-abiding person. b. I never go outside my compound walls, except to buy omelettes and canned tuna at Tops. c. When not outside my walls, I am happier than being outside them. d. I rarely see any tourists that might attack me. e. If I were obliged by law to install a Police app on my phone, then I would follow the regulation. f. But, until that day, even FaceBook's app, I removed from my phone. g. Here in SE Asia, I feel safe. East Asia I feel safe. It's only in the Bronx I feel the need for a Police app. Note: Thailand is just about the safest place in the world...for tourists. You can bank on it. -

Upgrade Main breaker box
What happens if there is a fault with the incoming neutral, the ground at some pole outside?, I feel like in that situation your ground in your home becomes the new village ground/neutral. I'm certainly no expert but that is my first impression. Seems complicated to me. PEA reversed my neutral and Live at the meter a few years back, by accident I suppose, but that would really complicate the above diagram i think. -
