Popular Post Walker88
There is an interesting paragraph in the DC Circuit Court opinion which has additional implications for trump: "We cannot accept that President trump’s claim that a President has unbounded authority to commit crimes that would neutralize the most fundamental check on executive power---the recognition and implementation of election results. Nor can we sanction his apparent contention that the Executive has a carte blanche to violate the rights of individual citizens to vote and to have their votes count” That would seem the citizens might be able to file a class action suit against trump & his co-conspirators for conspiracy to deprive them of the basic Constitutional right to vote. The fake elector scheme is prima facie evidence. The voters of Georgia might have an additional class action suit, as trump tried to deprive them of having their vote count. Georgia did 3 recounts and checked everything, yet trump still pressured SecState Raffensperger to "just find me 11,780 votes". A punitive judgement in any class action suit could amount to $billions or tens of $billions against trump and his co-conspirators. Certainly there are lawyers out there who would smack their lips over the possibility of getting 30% of whatever a suit squeezes out of trump et al. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cadc.40415/gov.uscourts.cadc.40415.1208593677.0.pdf 1 2 1

Popular Post uttradit
It's interesting how Biden supporters cannot cope with any form of criticism of Biden. The guy is a joke. His supporters are a joke. Whinge non stop about Trump for years. Then cry when someone calls them out on their nonsense. Poor little darlings got their feelings hurt. 1 2 1

He's not a maniac like Trump, who doesn't listen to advice. Very much the point. A President is just that, he presides over a government, which he has assembled. It might be worth considering the potential teams they are or will be presenting to run the government. Now I suspect, based on quite a lot of the things he has said, that the "Trumpton team" will be selected or rejected as rewards for supporting, or retribution for criticising his personal aims, many of if not all of which are focused on his benefit rather than the countries. What can you do for me, or what can you do for the country? Edited February 7 by herfiehandbag

Been there 3 years No more excuses. 2 wars, inflation, border chaos. It is Biget. I didn't know Biden started the wars in Ukraine (I mistakenly thought putin invaded) nor in Israel/Palestine (I could have sworn Hamas started it). That Biden sure is clever. The Dems put together a bipartisan Bill to solve the border issue, but House whackjobs decided they wouldn't even hear it. Even the Border Patrol Union was in favor of it. Cannot blame Biden, but maybe a fat orange Tweeter who somehow puts fear into the cowards of the R Party. As for inflation, I know you are not an economist nor well versed in that field, but what do you think might happen if: ---$25,000 was printed for every man, woman and child in the US ---Tariffs put on imports from China were passed on to the American consumer ---Supply change chains were disrupted for years due to Covid Do you think inflation is like a light switch, that it just turned on at 12:01pm on 20 January 2021? In case you missed it, inflation became a worldwide phenomenon in the last few years. The US has done a better job handling it, and now it is sharply lower than it was, while the economy is growing faster than any other major industrialized nation. Looking pretty good in the US right now. Gangbusters economy, relative to the Recession and 6.8% unemployment the last guy left in his wake. Biden needs no excuses; he can just bask in the glory of a recovery from the trump carnage. 1 3 2

The nickname used by the British Army for a cardboard six pack of "Herforder" beer, sold in Germany, a distinctive yellow colour and which came with a convenient carrying handle; and often carried when going to a party, barbeque or other "away fixture" - hence "Herfiehandbag ". I used to have a little picture of one as my avatar, which would have explained it, but it was deemed to have been advertising alcohol. Now what is a Biget? We have this "Oh my god, they're not like me!" paranoia being exploited for political gain. The magnitude of this idiocy is stunning. We are not the only one, just the one best positioned to turn a slow moving crisis into an opportunity. The US is in a remarkably enviable position: Millions of the best, brightest, and most ambitious around the world want to live and work in our country. People who will work, pay taxes, spend their earnings thus creating new jobs, and in general grow the US economy and save programs such as Social Security and Medicare from financial failure. All we have to do is provide a means for them to enter the country and work for their betterment and ours. Instead we have this shrieking, paranoid "Oh my god, crisis at the border!" If we would at least provide the judicial and detainment funding required the crisis would be alleviated. However too many people, most notably Trump, find it personally advantagious to prolong the situation for political gain. Hence his oppostion to the bipartisan Senate bill on immigration https://news.yahoo.com/senate-unveils-bipartisan-immigration-overhaul-033213171.html.
