Oh, they've been protesting against him for a while - especially against his attemps to take control the judiciary and curtail their power to keep the government in check. Interesting that he began that action whilst he is on trial himself on corruption charges. In my opinion the law must be above the government in any democracy and members of the judiciary should not be chosen according to their political alignment (as in the US). Once the government of a country has complete control, democracy is lost. Th U.K doesn't rule the World anymore and Israel doesn't do what the UK tells it to do . Nothing to do with that - don't try to turn this into an argument over the UK's power. The UK and the USA have power to influence Netanyahu's actions more than other countries simply because they both supply Israel with arms. The UK by refusing to tell Israel to stop is supporting their actions, I am not trying to say that the UK has any world power and I'm not at all interested in that. What I want to see is and end to killing - by both sides. If Netanyahu loses the support of 2 key allies, his government would probably collapse and an end be found to the current conflict. The UK by the way, has a lot to answer for in this matter - being mainly responsible for the state of Israel. 1 1

The only figure I could see on the internet was a few thousand, infact much less than last year, so it maybe safe to say that the figure of 500,000 may have been grossly exaggerated. 1

Israeli police clash with captives families in anti-Netanyahu protests | Al Mayadeen English This is a report from Al-Jazeera from a few days ago about the protests in Israel . The Israeli Left wing have always opposed Netanyahu and have always protested against his Government and there were protestors there waving Israeli flags and calling for the hostages to be returned . For some reason Al-Jazeera wrote "Gaza genocide" as a caption to the video , some unintelligent people might then think that the protests were about the Gaza war 1

It isn't terrorism no, unfortunately civilians do get killed in war, that happens in all wars . Oct 7 th was terrorism, the attack on Gaza is seeking those responsible for the terrorism . British people can want anything they want , but would the British Government act in accordance to what the Israeli public think ? If many Israelis held the opinion that the Falklands are Argentina , would the UK Government hand over the Island ? 1

Everybody wants a ceasefire, the only people who do not are Hamas. They refused the last ceasefire deal for hostage/poisoner exchange and the world is now waiting for them to say yes to the latest. Do you really expect a full ceasefire with Hamas still holding hostages. Oh well then, I apologise - its fine to kill thousands of people instead of allowing them to evacuate. Its also fine to deny them medical aid, food and water? Is it fine for Israel to refuse permission for a dying 6 year old girl, who could have been saved, to leave the country with doctors visiting from abroad? I think you will find that a great many of Israel's actions will be regarded as war crimes when this is over, just as those of Hamas will.
