Received 90 day report reminder on expired visa. What should I do?

Recommended Posts

Until recently I was on an O-A retirement visa and usually filed my 90 day reports online.

Last week I did a round-trip to Cambodia, without a re-entry permit. I'm now in Thailand as a tourist with a 30 day stamp in my passport. I'm in the process of applying for a Non-O visa.

I just got an email to file my next 90 day report. But as of now I'm a tourist, so does this even apply? Should I ignore it? If not, what's the correct way to deal with it?

When you re-entered the country, the 90-day clock resets and starts over. The system just doesn't know you have been away.

Seems he's back in on a TR ergo there is no 90-day clock.

Yes, 90-days counts from date of entry or date of extension of stay – varies from one immigration office to another – just ignore it, it's a kind reminder from the online system, as you have used that before.

The entry status is irrelevant.

It is 90 days in Thailand.

If you exit before you have reached 90 days there is no report requirement.

Of course it's relevant.

There are examples of extensions from a 90 day stamp and extension eg to visit wife that takes stay past 90 days and TM47 not required.

That is dependent on the particular immigration office you attend. Some offices will automatically do the report others will not.
