For example if I decided to go back home with my wife after seven years here would the headline be “ Thai couple relocates to the U.K. “ ??

No, more likely it would be “ Thai couple fails to relocate in the U.K. “

with statements along the lines

“Honestly, there were so many times I felt regretful about this decision. It seemed like the end of the world. Wading through waist-deep government red tape just to get there, I’d look around and think, What am I doing?”

But keeping in context the first part of your post is probably right, click bait.

Very common on here. It's a forum full of angry old men whos lives are empty with nothing better to do than whinge about everything and everyone whilst waiting for death.

You do realize this is a "whinge"? Right?

Well done to the couple and best of luck.

That's no way to talk about our ex poster of the year....... Trans...

I have watched  several of their vids on Tube, the partner wife or GF rarely appears, plenty of him doing the farmer routine.

Bit iffy,  some jealous bod will drop him in the do do........

That wasn't a whinge, it was a statement of facts, the old boomers  on here will moan about anything

I don't think the "whinger" (you in this case) ever thinks their "statements of facts" are whinges.

They are. You just lack the self-awareness to recognize it.

“We didn’t realise this until we started building the house, it was just a lucky bonus.”

Realise what? What was the lucky bonus?

Settling in the serene province of Nong Bua Lam Phu

Whatever the adverse, and in many cases jealous, comments on AN, congratulations on achieving your ambition. IMO, you have chosen a very pleasant picturesque area of Isaan in Thailand to live in. The cost of living will be less expensive than "rip off" Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket etc. etc. down south. I used to live not so faraway in Phu Wiang, Khon Kaen Province before moving to Cambodia. Enjoy your new life.
